("Bed Bath & Beyond"), & each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, distributors, subsidiaries, retailers, advertising/promotion agencies, & Project Support Team, Inc. ("P/S/T") (collectively, "Released Parties"). This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, & local laws & regulations. Void in Puerto Rico & where prohibited by law. How to Enter: The "Equip Your Space" Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 12:00:01AM Central Time ("CT") on 7/9/07 & ends at 11:59:59PM CT on 9/4/07 ("Promotion Period"). The Promotion computer is the official time keeping device for the Promotion. 1) MasterCard Purchase: Automatically receive (1) entry for each purchase made with a MasterCard card at a Bed Bath & Beyond store location in the U.S. or online at www.bedbathandbeyond.com during the Promotion Period. There is no limit to the number of MasterCard purchase-based entries permitted during the Promotion Period. In the event that a potential winner is selected via a MasterCard card transaction, prize will be awarded to the primary account holder (as determined by the MasterCard customer financial institution's account records) named on the account accessed by the MasterCard card used to make the entry &, in the event that a corporate MasterCard card winning account is selected, prize will be awarded to the individual named on the MasterCard card that is used to transact the winning entry (as determined by the MasterCard customer financial institution's account records). Account adjustment transactions/returns & PIN-based & international transactions are not considered eligible transactions for Sweepstakes entry. Entries from unauthorized card use or made with lost, stolen, or fraudulent MasterCard cards are void. Only purchases made with a MasterCard card that is in good standing (both at time of entry & winner selection) & issued by a MasterCard customer financial institution in the U.S. to an identifiable end user & that are processed & submitted through MasterCard International Incorporated's U.S. transaction processing system during the Promotion Period are eligible for automatic entry. 2) Online: Visit http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com ("web site") during the Promotion Period & click on the promotion link on the Home Page or follow the promotion link instructions found within any Bed Bath & Beyond print or electronic communication. Once at the "Equip Your Space" Sweepstakes website, follow the instructions & fully complete & submit the online entry form according to the instructions provided during the Promotion Period & receive (1) entry. Confirm that you have read & agree with these Official rules. Limit (1) online entry per person, regardless of the number of e-mail addresses used, during each day of the Promotion Period (with a day defined as the 24-hour period beginning at 12:00:01AM CT & ending at 11:59:59PM CT). Additional entries received from any person or e-mail address during any one day of the Sweepstakes will be void. Entry will be awarded to the person named on the applicable entry form (regardless of whether that is the name of the authorized account holder of the e-mail address from which said entry form was submitted). The use of automated entry devices is prohibited. 3) Mail: To enter the Sweepstakes without purchase & receive (1) entry, hand print your name, complete mailing address, telephone number, age & the words "Equip Your Space Sweepstakes" on a plain 3"x 5" piece of paper & mail it in a sealed, stamped & hand printed #10 envelope to: Equip Your Space Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 15245, Bridgeport, CT 06673-5245. Enter as often as you wish by mail, but each entry must be mailed separately to be received by 9/11/07. No photocopied, computer generated facsimiles, mechanically reproduced, or mass entries permitted. Your use of your MasterCard card and/or your submission of an online and/or 3"x 5" mail-in entry constitutes your consent to participate in this Sweepstakes & your consent for Sponsor to obtain, use, & transfer your name, address & other information for the purpose of administering this Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, incomplete, illegible, late, misdirected, stolen, postage-due, or non-delivered or mutilated entries or mail; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in transmission or communication; theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; 3rd party transaction classification, transaction processing, or communication; technical or mechanical malfunctions; failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines, or telephone systems; interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections; traffic congestion on the Internet or any technical problem, including but not limited to any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from Sweepstakes participation; errors or omissions in these Official Rules, in any Sweepstakes-related advertisements or other materials; human-processing error; failures of electronic equipment, computer hardware or software; or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by equipment, programming used in this Sweepstakes, human error, or otherwise. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any & all entries of an entrant who Sponsor believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Sweepstakes. Prizes: (1) Grand Prize: $25,000, which winner may use toward college tuition, awarded in the form of a check (Approximate Retail Value "ARV"=$25,000). (4) First Prizes: A $2,000 Bed Bath & Beyond Gift Card (ARV=$2,000). (10) Second Prizes: A $250 Bed Bath & Beyond Gift Card (ARV=$250). (100) Third Prizes: A $50 Bed Bath & Beyond Gift Card (ARV=$50). Bed Bath & Beyond Gift Card restrictions may apply. Total ARV of all prizes=$40,500.Federal, state, & local taxes & all other expenses not specified herein are winners' sole responsibility. Winner Selection: Winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about 10/9/07 from among all eligible entries received by P/S/T, an independent judging organization whose decisions will be final & binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Winners will be notified by P/S/T by telephone and/or mail. If the awarding of a prize is in conflict with corporate written policy or not feasible after Sponsor's good faith effort to obtain account holder contact information from the applicable MasterCard customer financial institution, prize will be forfeited & an alternate winner may be selected. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Limit (1) prize per person, immediate family, or household. Miscellaneous: Expenses not stated are the sole responsibility of the winner. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption or substitution of prizes except by Sponsor due to prize unavailability, & then for a prize of equal or greater value. If a Grand or First Prize winner is a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, prize may be awarded in the name of, or to, winner's parent/legal guardian who must execute all documents & agree to the obligations & undertakings of winner, both on behalf of himself/herself & winner, or prize may be forfeited & awarded to the alternate winner. Grand & First Prize winners will be required to execute & return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release & (where legal) Publicity Release within (3) days of issuance of notification. Non-compliance with any of the foregoing may result in disqualification & awarding of prize to an alternate winner. If any prize notification letter or prize is returned as undeliverable, winner will be disqualified & an alternate winner may be selected. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry & to modify, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, action of entrants, or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes &, if the Sweepstakes is modified, terminated or suspended, select winners from those eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the event requiring such modification, termination or suspension.
