Strong, beautiful compared to others the same size the price was perfect and the quality is outstanding. Love it.

Was tired of putting up & taking down the child gate so we love this stay-put gate. Extra wide opening gives plenty of room for passing through. Looks very classy - get lots of compliments on it. Would highly recommend it.

This gate is WONDERFUL, Beautiful, Easy to install
I was looking for a gate that would fit a 60 inch wide opening. This was one of the few that seemed like it would work without damaging the walls. It was so EASY to install, I had it up and in place in less than 15 minutes. It is both functional and BEAUTIFUL. I'm so impressed with the quality of this Summer Infant 5 foot gate that I have ordered a Summer Infant 6 foot gate for another area of our home.
I would recommend this gate to anyone who needs an extra wide gate that is both functional and beautiful.

It works, beautifully!
I've been using this gate for 6 months now, and am about to purchase a second! Here's why I love this gate: 1) It's tall. No bending or slouching to grab at the handle to open the door. 2) The gate opening is wide. Most gates have such a skinny opening that I had to lift groceries up and over the top. 3) It's husband-proof. My guy has broken a few gates because they are difficult to open or flimsy in general. He has yet to have a single problem operating this gate. 4) It's toddler toy proof. My toddler has slammed into the gate at top speed with his walker. It did not slide, break, or budge. 5) It's puppy proof. I have two schnauzers who cannot get over it or between the bars. 6) It's gorgeous. This gate blends with the colors of my home.

Not Sturdy. Flimsy. Not worth the money
I've gone through TONS of gates trying to find decent ones and this one is terrible.
PROS: Pretty design.... and thats about it if all you want to do is look at it.
- pressure mount gate, but the metal bends when you are tightening it.
- Pressure causes bending of the gate which then renders the locking mechanism and the bracket at the bottom to not line up so you have to use two hands to lock/close the gate. This is great while holding a baby or toddler! (note sarcasm)
- locking latch is flimsy and easily becomes disengaged. Although there is a bracket at the bottom of the gate as well, which in theory will keep it closed, but not free of prying hands that want in or out. This looks like it'll end up pinching someones fingers eventually.
OVERALL - There are better gates out there. Pass on this. Its not worth the money.

Buy something else
The esthetics are great. Every other aspect of design fails. The frame was bent out of the box. It cannot be installed in a wide doorway with base molding. If you tighten the adjustable bolts on top it bends the frame making it hard to unlatch, when you finally unlatch it the whole gate falls over and must be re-tightened. Way overpriced, looks nice but is completely useless. Taking it back in the morning.
