All-Clad Master Chef II 2-Quart Covered Saucepan
With a brushed aluminum exterior, this cookware is not only perfect to whip up all your favorite dishes, it's also an attractive addition to your cupboard. Cookware has the preferred 3-ply bonded construction with an easy-clean stainless steel interior that won't react to food. The pure aluminum core runs along the bottom and the sides so heat is distributed evenly -- no hot spots to spoil your cooking. Stay-cool, stainless handles are long so you can stay a safe distance from the heat. Hand washing is recommended. Lifetime warranty.

"Stay Cool handles" not so much...
The stay cool handles do not stay cool on the stove, whether you are cooking with one pot or 4, the all handles whether stockpot or saucepan get hot and require a pot holder to pick it up. I spoke to All-Clad that they are falsely advertising "Stay Cool" handles when that is not the case. She said they do recommend the use of pot holders when cooking with this cookware. Had I known this, I would have stayed with my Farberware, or gone with another brand without metal handles.

As Good As The Stainless Versions
If you don't need the stainless finish, which is purely cosmetic here, then save a few bucks and buy the MC2 pans. The brushed aluminum exterior finish cleans up really well - and you still have the stainless interior and the 3 ply construction. The performance is no different than the stainless versions (I have a 3 qt. stainless sauce pan). I used to be a chef and really use my pans, pots and everything. These are durable, hefty and cook with even heat.
Once you learn how to use the All-Clad line, whether on gas or electric, finding the right settings, you will find consistent results every time. And I use them for everything from steaming veggies to reducing sauces to heating up whatever. I can buy anything I want. Yes, these are on the pricey side. But you'll never need to replace them, ever.
I own one stainless 1 qt sauce pan, two MC2 2 qt sauce pans, one MC2 3 qt saucier and the 3 qt stainless sauce pan so far. I use a different brand for skillet/fry pans so can only say that the All-Clad versions probably perform as you'd expect once you adjust to the way they 'work' (which you have to do for any given pan).
