This was beyond terrible. Like the other reviewers, the coating came off after the first use. To boot, it gave off a weird, scary smell when in the oven. I took it back for a refund after the first try with it. No thanks on the nappy coating.

Unusable after first use
The pan was used once on my gas grill for paella. After hand washing the pan we noticed the coating inside the pan was peeling off. This clear coating is now partially peeled off. There is no way I will use the pan again in fear that more of this coating will peel off and end up in the food.

Careful, not the real deal.
This is not a real paella. It has some sort of nonstick coating on it that started peeling off the second time I used it. A real paella is made from simple carbon steel without a nonstick coating. I received it as a gift for X-mas, and the first time I used it it was great, then disappointment. A real paella can be used on an open flame (gas or wood) and should give a nice crist on the bottom. While this one did give a crust on the bottom, it destroyed the pan in the process. I did not notice the coating was peeling off until AFTER we had eaten the paella -- and, unfortunately, some of the nonstick coating. If I could give it less than one star, I would.
If you want the real deal, there are various online retailers who carry them for about the same price as this one.
