Denmark® 6-Quart Polished Aluminum Pressure Cooker
BUY CHEAP - GET CHEAP
At 61 you would think I would have remembered that. I purchased this model because it was on sale. DO NOT waste you money on this model. If you want a pressure cooker spend the money for a better model. I made a three pound pot roast. I followed the instructions and very lightly oiled the gasket with veg. oil before I started. It took twenty minutes before the release value started to work. I had my gas cooktop on medium heat not to burn the two and a half cups of thinned out gravy inside the cooker. Right away I had steam coming out from under the lid and even between the handles. I have fluid dripping from under the lid. Hard to build up pressure with it leaking from the lid. Could have used a better and thicker gasket. This unit will be collecting dust in the basement or going to the resale shop. I will be buying a unit with multi screw down fasteners on the lid. There is a reason the “old style” is better. They seal!

First time using a slow cooker and so far it's great. And the price is right especially if your a first timer. If give it 5 stars but I don't have anything to compare it too.

Has a problem
When I first got this I loved it! I used it for everything from beans and rice to pork butt roast. It had developed a leaking problem during the cool down period. All of a sudden there is a loud noise like squeezing the top of a balloon to let the air out. The steam seems to be coming out between the top and bottom around the handle and it won't stop even if I try to squeeze the handles together. Although I tightened the screws that hold the handle onto the top and the noise was reduced to a short time it still has the problem.

great cooking tool
I love this pressure cooker, it's easy to use and I can cook a package of beans in 20 minutes! I can also cook brown rice in 18 minutes and it comes out great.

Easy to use
I like the ease of using this pressure cooker. However, for me the top is sometimes difficult to line up with the bottom to lock it.
The thing I'm really disappointed with is that there is nothing in the bottom of the pot that keeps the meat/vegetables OFF of the bottom of the pot, itself. If your water is accidently boiled out, your pot and food will burn. Luckily, I had one (it is removable, ie - washable) from another pressure cooker that I placed in the bottom to keep my food away from the bottom of the pot.
Love the price, though.

I have used the pressure cooker twice and I like it. I have not used it to cook any other type of meat but I will soon. I used the pressure cooker to cook chicken and both times it came out great. Using a pot like this will take time and practice. I saved the manual that came with it and will use it until I become more proficient.

Great product with great price
I have used various pressure cookers. This is a great one for it's value and the product.
Cooking happens very fast as it is aluminum and less weight.
We need to identify timings of how best to work within product.
I really enjoy this cooker. I have it oats 2 years. Good one.

The first time I used this PC it worked perfectly. I cooked venison and it came out perfectly.(I then threw box and receipt from BB&B away). The second time it used it with the same type venison it burned. I thought I didn't have enough liquid. The third use(same type meat) the PC kept making a shrill coming from the safety lock and steam came from the handle. The rocker vent never worked. I will disguard and get something better. Save your money. You get what you pay for!!!
