Tablecraft Glass Butter Dish
A regular stick of butter will not fit within the glass cover but instead sticks to it instead of the bottom. Moreover, I found it unwise to buy a butter dish which lacks a handle on the cover.

not worth it
Bought this before we were married. Have been putting up with the darn thing ever since. Always forget to get a new one when we're out. Works ok for long stick butter, but not for the short fat butter that grocery stores are selling these days. Also, the surface is very slippery and we drop the top constantly. Only good thing is that it hasn't broken yet. Going to BBB on my way home today to get a new one.

Works just fine
My husband and I got this as a wedding gift off our registry and we use it almost every day. I think it serves its purpose pretty well, and it looks pretty good. I have noticed that under strong lights, the butter tends to melt, but I doubt that's any fault of the manufacturers. We like the simple, clean look of it and never noticed any slippery surfaces on it.

I purchased this butter dish 2 years ago and have yet to drop it or break it. I break my fair share of dishes, so that's saying something. I do not find the lid to be overly slippery as long as I don't have butter on my fingers :)

Very Slippery Top
The top is very slippery and hard to grasp...you will drop it sooner or later....

Poorly crafted butter dish and lid
Chipped the lid upon first use because the lid is slippery and it is very difficult to lift it off of the dish safely. Don't buy it!

Poor lid design
It's impossible to safely remove the lid from this butterdish. I think they were trying to copy the wonderful old Pyrex design. But this is a VERY POOR imitation. I returned it to the store.
