Hip Laundry Basket
It's affordable, convenient, and is great for it's intended use. We are very happy with it!

We got this laundry basket at my bridal shower and we have been very pleased with it so far! Not too bulky and I love the way it contours to your side.

Perfect Basket for Non-Basket Cases
As a reasonable intelligent adult, perfectly capable of using both arms to carry a laundry basket in front of me, and both of my legs to provide balance and locomotion, I seem quite able to do my laundry, even multiple loads, without seriously injuring myself on this plastic laundry basket. Knowing that plastic is far less soft than silk or linen, I make it a point to not grind these baskets against my skin or fill them with bricks and balance the basket on my face or delicate private bits.

It seems like a great basket, until you own it. The curve to sit on your hip looks like such a nice idea, but the hard plastic digs into your side and is downright uncomfortable. So fine, you'll deal. Then you realize you can't fit through any standard doorways with it on your hip unless you twist and contort-- which for me is dangerous as I try to get downstairs. So, okay, give up on the hip idea and hold it by the two handles. Again, you cannot fit through the door. It's really annoying. And you can't grab it the skinny way to make it easy because there's only one handle and the hard plastic really digs into your skin if you try to grip it.
I highly suggest you go with the cheap-o baskets you can find in your supermarket that have softer plastic. Laundry is just not worth all the hassle.

Low Quality Imitation
This looks just like the Rubbermaid laundry basket - but it's not. As others have noted, the edges are sharp and the plastic is hard, not flexible. Also, there is still flashing in the holes. A low quality imitation. After being tricked, I ordered a real Rubbermaid from another store. I am disappointed in Bed, Bath & Beyond. While the products they sell are usually high quality, this is an exception.

Holds it's shape well, but edges are very sharp. There really needs to be a handle on each side - it hurts my hand every time I try to get the basket through a doorway because I have to also grab it on the side without a handle. They also appear to be cheaply made. I received 2 baskets, and one has big pieces of plastic sticking out into what should be smooth holes.

Large capacity and sturdy, but SHARP edges
PROS: Large size, very sturdy, reasonable price. CONS: The edges are VERY sharp and hurt when the basket is rested on any body part. I kept it because it has good handles to grip it with, but it can get heavy to carry it this way especially when it's full of clothes.
