IMUSA® 5-Cup Nonstick Rice Cooker
Makes good rice and an equally good mess
We've followed the directions to the letter ever since it was purchased. It makes fine rice, but all but one time it has sputtered stuff out of the lid. The one time it came out perfectly, we had used the same amount of rice and water that we always do. We have to keep a plate underneath it and a paper towel over the lid hole so it doesn't mess up everything on the counter.

Simple rice cooker for your home
Many rice cookers sold are huge, meant for restaurants. This is a small one that works well for your home. Cooks your rice perfect every time and you don't have to watch it (like rice in a regular pan).

Convenient but no better than a pan on the stove
I bought this because I had started making Allen Lim rice cakes for cycling (Google that for recipe). This recipe calls for medium grain "sticky" rice and my usual method on the stovetop was leaving the rice a little harder than I liked. A friend suggested this cooker from Bed, Bath, & Beyond.
It is inexpensive, works well, and helped to solve the hard grain problem.
The only thing it didn't do well is making a different recipe for Spanish rice. The tomato based salsa burned on the bottom of the non-stick pan. So back to the stovetop for that recipe.

you get what you pay for
This is a cheap rice cooker. When I bought it I wasn't sure I would use it regularly so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. The first one I bought didn't work so I returned it for a new one. The new one worked for a few months (about 8-10 uses I'd guess), then just stopped working in the middle of cooking rice. Next time I'll spend a little bit more and get a better quality rice cooker.

if you are looking for a no-frills machine that does what it is suppose to do and no more, this rice cooker meets the bill. it cooked the rice like a rice cooker should and have had no problems with it. the price is perfect so i do not have any complaints with the product. it cooks the rice then switches to warm until you take the plug out. good deal for the price

Terrible and cheap!
We purchased this brand of rice cooker from a gift card we received. The first one stopped working after the 3rd use - which we thought may had just been a faulty device. We were able to exchange it and our SECOND, same product rice cooker just stopped after the second use.
DO NOT BUY! (unless you want to waste your money!)

What A Piece of Junk
Received this product as a gift, so I can't take it back. The lid doesn't fit on bowl like it should. It wobbles so when it cooks there is so much splatter fom the rim of the lid onto the counter. It makes a big mess. Rice cooked ok, but now I have a mess to clean up. I would not recommend buying this product, ever.
