moldly!
I've had this for about 4 months now and really enjoyed it at first. Until about two months ago when I noticed that after about a week of nightly use, a little mold was growing inside the spout that the mist comes out of. I cleaned it with a bleach water solution and about a week later noticed it again. Now I'm noticing it nightly! Just looked inside the monkey last night and it was disgusting with a black mildew! All I can think I that I've been blowing mold spores into the air every night with this stupid thing! I'm so mad! This thing is going in the trash.

Horrible
My husband bought this humidifier for my daughters room and lucky for us, the monkey fell off the top while we were taking it apart to refill it. When the monkey broke into multiple pieces I found black mildew all over the inside of the monkey. This build up was from only 2 weeks of use. I have had the cow humidifier for years now - it's easy to clean and you can see all of the parts where the steam touches. I just replaced this horrible humidifier with the frog one (which is similar to the cow) and so far we love it, though it's only been a few days. I wish I could get my money back on this monkey!

adorable but defectrive
this adorable humidifier immediately caught my daughter's eye. We were so excited to bring it home and set it up. Within an hour my kids came to get me to tell me there was water all over the table and floor. All of the water had seeped out around the middle seal (green ring). I immediately took it apart and reread the instructions thinking I had done something wrong. We tried again. This time I left it set up in the bathrrom. Same thing happened. We made a trip back to store and exchanged for a new one thinking it was 'just this one'. We had our second monkey humidifier for two days. One day two, water started seeping out again!!! This time I also received a LOW VOLTAGE SHOCK!! Alarming to an adult but I'm sure a child would have a significantly different reaction. Not only was water leaking from the center ring but water had also gotten into the electrical components and was dripping/running out of the bottom vent. My only reccommedation would be for the manufacturer to pull this model off the shelves as it is obviously defective in some way. We have had the pink flower model for about two weeks and have not had any issues.
