Crosley Kitchen Cart / Island with Solid Black Granite Top
Highly recommended! Go for it!
I am often hesitant about buying items on-line (sight unseen), but this has proven to be a good buy and quality piece of furniture. It still catches my eye when I walk in the room. A classic look that i highly recommend.

Excellent Portable Island
This looks great rolls around like a champ and is functionable. I glued as well as used the twist locks for more permanent results. Be careful if you do this, making sure the assembly you are working on is correct. Applying glue in places such as on all dowels and the drawer assemblies made this alot stronger and very very strurdy. However, it appeared to be quite sturdy without doing this. I 'am just a perfectionist and have built my own furniture in the past. So either way you will be well pleased with this island.

Looks very nice, some parts are weak
Well, I've got to say, this island looks really nice! It's pretty easy to put together; the instructions are very clear, and there were no missing steps. The real marble top is extremely heavy, which I think shows its density and strength.
It may be a bit smaller than you expect, so be aware of that. And the back panel is a very flimsy flexible board. Other than that, most of the parts are reasonably strong. You may find some puckered or slightly scratched surfaces or edges, but for us, most were barely noticeable, and did not take away from the aesthetic.
With the caveats mentioned above, I recommend this product.

Really nice for the price
The cart is very well-made and looks great. The granite top was packed in its own box, surrounded by foam and held in place by a screwed-together wood frame. There were a couple of very minor flaws in the wood finish, which were easily fixed with a touch of stain. The cart must be assembled from quite a few pieces--it took about 2 1/2 hours to put it together. The assembly instructions are very complete and accurate. A very nice touch is that the hardware is packed in plastic with each type labeled and in a separate little bubble. I am very pleased with the cart.

The cart was pretty easy to assemble. I think it looks great! My only issue was the way it was shipped. The granite top comes separate from the cherry base. But there is no instructions to tell you this, and since the base arrived several days later, I had to sit and hope that it came in two packages. Warning - both packages are quite heavy (> 200 llbs. combined) so it may take more than one person to handle them. I am a big guy, so no problems by myself, but for someone that is not tall and strong, it could be troublesome. Also, it may require two people to assemble because of the weight.

I was really impressed and surprised with this item. I honestly was expecting it to be quite flimsy, and very cheap. But it's really nice, sturdy, and very flattering. I have a very small kitchen with limited counter space and this fits nicely against the wall, and compliments my kitchen quite nicely. Added the additional space I needed. The granite slab is VERY heavy, so be careful picking that up..it was a bit of a pain to put together, it took my 20 year old a few hours..I would recommend 2 people and a power drill to speed up the process of putting it together...my son did it manually...but once it was all done, we were happy.

Good for space but quality is to be desired
The island arrived very quickly in two boxes. My husband is a pro at putting these items together (yes he reads and follows all directions). No parts were missing...all screws were there. One part however was obviously repaired with putty at one point during the manufacturing process.
A couple of holes on that part were partially filled with putty and had to be cleaned and drilled out. This added some time to the process of putting this together. Additionally, when mounting one of the casters to the cabinet, the 2x4 block that it screwed into split and broke off from the cabinet. We had to repair that piece with longer screws to bind it together.
Just to be clear to everyone, this item is not made of wood. It essentially is a re-enforced type of pressboard.
Besides these small details, the cabinet is attractive but could be a major hassle if anything more serious is wrong with it.
