This 2-slice toaster features an LCD display that remembers the last shading and function set so everything toasts the same way every time, and the sleek, digital process bar shows when the toast will be ready. Its extra wide 1 1/2" slots will accept the thickest bagels, breads or pastries. The extra deep, steel toasting cavity ensures even browning, and the racks automatically adjust the slot width for thick or thin slices which keeps food upright while toasting. You can select the bagel function to reduce the power on one side of the heating elements by up to 50% so it will gently brown the bottom of the bagel while toasting the side that's sliced. There's even a defrost button so frozen pastries can be toasted to perfection in just minutes, and the reheat button quickly reheats toasted food in under a minute. Great toaster
I never thought one day I would actually review a toaster... but thinking back on why I chose this one, it was in part due to the reviews I read, so I figure that this might be helpful to someone else.
In all, great toaster, and exactly what I was looking for. It was within the price range I wanted to pay for a toaster, the color matched everything I had already in my kitchen, and the toaster itself has all the functions I wanted: LED indicator for the toaster level, makes it very clear; there are count down bars that show how much is left (such an upgrade from the regular/old toaster I had), and has all the buttons/functions for the different types of toaster one can want (bagel, defrost, etc).
I was concerned about what I read from other reviews about the sound it makes when toast are done, most people seem to say that it's annoying. Although I am sure it might be annoying to some, to me, I don't find that bad... it makes a single "beep" sound at the end of the toasting, and then pops the toasts. The beep is not long, and not louder than a microwave beep, and has I said, a single beep, not repeated or prolonged.

Excellent Toaster
This toaster toasts consistently well, to an even golden brown every time. It's easy to set the digital setting, which stays the same unless you move it. It does bagels, English muffins, bread, toaster pastries and waffles equally well. I like the bell that rings when it pops and the lifter that makes it easy to remove the toast. It also has classic good looks for any style kitchen. I have a Cuisinart that I bought for our winter home, and this toaster is much better. I highly recommend it.

Good, Inexpensive Toaster
Digital timing is a nice feature, especially the visual countdown. Toasts things just right once you get used to it. Haven't tried the extra settings yet. The mechanism for lowering the toast is a bit touchy, but otherwise this is a great toaster for the money.
