Like sleeping in the barn
Bought this feather bed to go on my brand new mattresses, on my brand new upholstered tufted bed. Wish I hadn't because within a few days, the feathers sunk in the middle & had no loft. BUT FAR WORSE, they started to SMELL HORRIBLY!! At first I thought it was my imagination, but it really smelled like the down was straight off the farm. Like the feathers had been picked up in the barnyard & not washed before being put in the bed. I took the feather bed off & realized my sheets & brand new King sized mattresses were absorbing the smell. After some serious airing out & cleaning/ washing everything smells clean again! I have another feather bed on a bed in my guest room (on my old bed) that I have had for several years with no smell. I have a down comforter & down pillows with no smell. Avoid this feather bed unless you are looking for a real farm experience.
