Real Simple® Nonslip Pastry Mat
I AM ON MY SECOND ONE OF THESE
and the second one is in the trash. The first one cracked when we took it out of the tube. So BBB gladly replaced it. The second one was getting creases in it and the "print" was coming off. Tonight I found some of the lettering or dye from the mat in the dough I was working with. I have no idea where they got a non-slip backing and no flour needed. The dough constantly stuck and the mat would not stick to the counter. This mat was highly rated in the original reviews but something has happened as this pastry mat has evolved into a product that is not recommended.

The product was great but I had to return it because it is too big.

WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT IT:
Big enough to contain your pie rolling.
Handy circles show when your piecrust is big enough for the pan
Heavy duty plastic
WHAT'S NOT GOOD ABOUT IT:
Costs way too much
Impossible to uncurl (rolling it backside out for a while helps)
Slides around on countertop (taping it to countertop helps)
Flour gets under it and makes it slide even more
Flour gets embedded in "non slip" backing material
Storage tube rolls mat way too tightly, thus the curling problem
Takes a lot of detergent and time to clean butter or shortening off the plastic

This is the worse product
It comes rolled up in a plastic tube and pretty much stays that way trying to roll dough is a chore. This is going in the garbage. I wish I can get my money back but it's my fault I got it in the store that has things that is useless hmogds

Don't waste your money on this junk
The plastic-y odor on this item is so bad that I can't even keep it in the house. I tried washing it, which makes the odor worse. Save your money and spend the same amount buying a silicone mat, which will do the exact same thing at the same cost, and won't stink up your kitchen. This is overpriced garbage. I gave it one star b/c no stars is not an option.

Cracks within 10 uses
This is the 2nd brand of pastry mat I've tried from BBB. I loved it initially, but within a short time it just starts splitting vertically near the edges. I am easy on it - wash, dry and store in the tube, but still it happens. Maybe I'm off to Tupperware...?

I really love this! It makes rolling out the dough to the right size fast and easy. Would definitely recommend it!!

Being a 73 year old shut-in and learning a whold new hobby has been made easier by the purchase of the Magic Pastry Dough Mat. Never had found rolling sugar cookies out and then using Royal Icing are completely new to me so a light-weight mat that is easier to use, stays where you put it and easy to clean is a blessing.
