Magnetic Spice Tin
These containers can be used to hold a variety of things but I dry my own spices and make spice mixes. These tins are so handy for them. My refrigerator is next to my stove so I attach them to the side of fridge. I bought a quantity to fil for Christmas gifts.

Don't Mind the Reviews about Water in the Lid
This product is great! I was going to take off a star for that same problem of the Bardcode sticker on back, but to make up for the low stars, I made it a full 5 star product.
They have worked very well for us: they stick to the fridge securely, none we have are faulty in terms of lid strength.
BUT a commentary on the "water in the lid" reviews.... the directions that come with the product specifically state, "DO NOT SUBMERGE IN WATER". You should only wipe down with a DAMP cloth and make sure it has no water trail that way it won't rust your containers.
So if you follow directions, this product will be fantastic for you.

Great product if you know what you are doing
I have read the other reviews here, so I felt that I had to write one to dispute others. These are fantastic! I have had a set of 12 for about 4 years and I absolutely love them. I just recently bought some more and actually am about to purchase 10 additional ones. They are a little pricey, but not bad compared to some other products. Yes, the plastic does come out of the lid, but will go back in with no problems as long as you are smarter than the tin. They hold spices on the side of my fridge perfectly and I love that I don't have to take up all of my cabinet or counter space since I lack in both of those areas in my kitchen. The only trouble I have had with these containers is that eventually the magnet comes off of the back, but you can re-glue it if that happens.

I thought these tins would perfectly fit my needs for spice storage, even though I thought they were overpriced. First of all, I spent 30 minutes getting the sticky bar code tags removed from the bottoms of six tins, having to purchase a special product from the grocery store to remove them. After I carefully washed them by hand, I noticed water trapped between the clear plastic and the metal rim of the lids. The only way to get the water out was to push out the plastic and dry the lid. Once that is done, you cannot get the plastic to fit back into the lid!! Oh, and while pushing out one of them, I cut my finger quite badly. So now I'm left with a useless product as the lids are not useable. PLEASE don't waste your money.

Not a good purchase
I was looking for a way to organize my spices and thought I would use these on the side of the fridge. After purchasing, I washed them out with soap and water and put them on the counter to dry overnight before I put the spices in them. The next morning I noticed there was water stuck under the lid and by the afternoon it had already rusted. I returned them and they gave me a full refund.

Very useful for a small kitchen
I bought these a few months ago, and they're working out great for my very small kitchen (with very limited counter space.) One of the magnetic backs came off the other day, but 1 out of 10 tins isn't bad (there's bound to be a defective one in the bunch).
I'm not saying these are super high quality and will probably need to be replaced once every 1-2 years, but it's a good short-term solution for small kitchens!

these are great for awhile... then they rust and get stuck and are hard to open. they were a great space saver for our apartment but we couldn't get the lid off of a couple after awhile.

Great Concept but item needs work
I did the same thing another reviewer did, bought them to use on the fridge since space is at a premium in my kitchen. The lids are sketchy, some are very easy to slide across to open and pour/use, others are so tight you can't slide them without banging them to loosen them. They get tighter with use which is bad. Also, I've had a problem with the magnetic disc on the bottom coming loose and watching as the spice container slides down the fridge. I've reglued them only to have it happen again. I've stopped using them for spices and am now using for crafts instead to organize them (beads and the like).
