Medela® Tender Care™ 2 oz. Lanolin
I've tried another popular brand of lanolin, and the Medela lanolin was far better at helping soothe sore nipples in the early stages of breastfeeding. It is smooth, moisturizing and helped heal cracked and bleeding nipples. My son didn't even notice it was there. A little product goes a long way.

I first purchased this because it was the same brand as my pump. After using it, it was the best investment that I made and I believe that it helped me to continue nursing my son. As soon as you put the gel on it helps your nipples. I would suggest you purchase this, even if you buy anything else from this brand or not. This is the best out there.

This is a must have for new moms - buy it before your child is born and have it ready, as you will not want to have to run out and get it after the little one is here! This stuff is like magic gel. My nipples were very overstimulated and hurting, and I would put this on them after each nursing and pumping session and it worked like a charm. I would also highly recommend the "cups" that Medela makes with the little holes in them that are for use between sessions, in order to keep clothes away from the nipples in order to give them a break. I would rub the lanolin on them and then put the cups on and then put a shirt on, and I was ready to go for the next session.

How to survive first weeks of BFing!!!
As a first time mom, this product was the reason I could continue breastfeeding. Gooping up after each feeding prevented any cracking, bleeding or sores and made the whole process bearable. I exclusively breastfeed and the tube has lasted over 4 months, so if it seems pricey, a little goes a long way! Also, it seems that the more you use it in the early days, the less often you need it as your baby grows. Go get this if you plan to breastfeed and bring it to the hospital with you!!!

VERY helpful for the first few weeks of breastfeeding. This was very smooth to go on, unlike other brands I had tried that you would have to warm up in your fingers before applying. My son didn't seem to mind it being there either. Highly recommended for the early breastfeeding days...
