Metrokane Rabbit Silver Wine Preserver
Didn't do anything
This product did not work for us. After pumping, we could hear the air coming out and could pull the stopper right out with no signs of any pressure built up. Retuning to BBB tomorrow. Would not recommend this product.

"Houdini" Wine Preserver is the best on the market
- This brand and style is the best I've found. It does have a one year of so lifespan, depending on how often you use it.
- Do not recommend the style with the guage. It broke after too few uses.

The pump works OK, but the stoppers will not hold a vacuum longer than a couple of minutes. I'm taking mine back to BB&B tomorrow to see if I can exchange it for a different brand.

works very well
I received this wine preserver as a wedding gift. I have used it every week since receiving it in june and it has always worked well! It has fit every wine bottle that i have used it in and it's super easy to tell when it's sealed because it's gets pretty hard to pump. love this rabbit!!!

Great Option for Wine Lovers
I received these at my bridal shower and have since given at least 5 sets as gifts. I love mine and those I have given sets to love theirs as well. As some other reviewers noted, occasionally the stopper is too narrow for a particular bottle, though I have rarely experienced this. When that happens, I use my Black Velvet champagne sealer (also from BB&B). Of similar products, I think the metrokane set has the most sturdy stoppers and the most effective vacuum of the several similar products I have used.

I like it
My future mother-in-law has a similar item, so I decided to add this to my registry. I almost added the one she has, but then I noticed this product. Knowing that Metrokane has a decent reputation, I added this one instead. I can already tell it works better than the one she has. It's harder to use the vacuum, and she said that's because it works better! Also, we have these wine racks on our wall from which we hang wine bottles. In the past, I have mistakenly put a red wine bottle back up on the wall with a corkscrew in it. It leaked everywhere (not a pretty cleanup). When I used the vacuum, I was able to hang the bottles back up on the wall with no leaks. Seriously, one has been up there for a week now with no signs of leaking. That tells me the product is working!

Doesn't Work as expected
We recently bought the Metrokane wine preserver and extra stoppers to replace our aging VacuVin preservers. Based on the quality of Rabbit's other wine products, we expected high quality from the Metrokane system. These stoppers simply DID NOT WORK--they seem just slightly too narrow for all the bottles we have tried, and the vacuum is gone within a couple hours at most. Maybe ours is defective, but we got the unit with two stoppers and bought two extra stoppers, and not one of them works properly. Just get a decorative stopper...

Best used as cork stop
Maybe I have a defective one, but the most use I get out of this is using the stops as regular corks. It feels like I'm doing something when pumping it, but when I go to release the air the next day I realize there was no air pressure to release.
