Great quality, perfect pattern
I love this set. We started out with 6 places with teacups, then finished off with 4 place settings with mugs. The weight of this dinnerware is perfect: lightweight but I'm not afraid it will crack or chip. I wash these in the dishwasher no problem, I always disable the heat dry setting however. My husband has used them in the microwave without issue. I'm still hesitant to do so, only because I've managed to shatter a "microwave safe" Pyrex bowl in there. I think they should technically be fine as long as you don't present them with a shocking change in temperature (from being heated to immediately rinsing in cold water, for example).
The pattern is gorgeous. We've had this set for three months now and I still get excited about using my pretty plates! The circles are made up of dark and light grey/silver squares inlaid into the china. (no annoying bumps to clean around) The white is true, and cleans up easily: no stains so far.
The sizes of the plates are what you would expect, the dinner plates get used less often simply because I usually make a main and a side which fit on the salad plate perfectly. For larger meals however, the dinner plate is great. The bowl is quite big in my opinion, great for cereal and chili. (I also occasionally use one for prep because it has the perfect shape for rolling food around in spices and rubs.) The teacup is much larger than I expected, it bows out to mimic the shape of the bowl so the circumference of the top is actually much bigger than a standard tea cup. My husband prefers the mug, which holds more and is much less awkward to hold by the handle without spilling. You could get by great with just mugs, but I like having the option of teacups (and saucers!) so I chose to get some sets with one and some with the other.

Love them
We love these dishes. We did our research and the design is above the firing, but there has never been a problem.

So disappointed
We registered for this set for our wedding, absolutely loving the modern style of it. When we received the dishes, we were so disappointed. The design is etched on top of the gloss, so when you run your fork over the plate it scrapes over the design. It drove us CRAZY! Also, it made me think that over time the design was really going to wear down. We ended up returning them all. Really disappointing.
