Good plates, two arrived broken
These plates seem sturdy and they are attractive. The rims are not as much of a contrasting blue in person as they are in the picture but I actually think they look better in person than in the picture. I have especially been complimented on the mugs, that they are attractive and a nice size. Two salad plates arrived broken, which we just didn't have time to follow up with (moved into a new home and our new baby came the same day) but otherwise we are very happy with the set. Would purchase again.

it's all good!
Square plates are so NOT mainstream. It feels like every plate, cup, and bowl is hand made just for me (there are slight imperfections in the shape and glaze to suggest this). I love the man cave colors - although they also look fairly sophisticated - so I wouldn't be afraid to have a "nice meal" with that special female either. They are sturdy, too. I don't feel like I have to be gentle with these things. I really like 'em!!

Lovely but...
When the two sets arrived after the honeymoon, my husband and I excitedly began loading the first set into an empty dishwasher. Both of us looked carefully for imperfections, and were happy to find none. The dinnerware was as lovely as the picture. Unfortunately, when we got to the bowls, we realized that the fun, square bowls were too large to stack neatly in the bottom of the dishwasher. Instead, we had to load them on the top where just four bowls filled half the shelf. Since we eat cereal each morning for breakfast and open eat soup and/or salads, we realized we would be running the dishwasher on a daily basis due to the bowls. With sadness, we decided to return the two sets. If the bowl size in the dishwasher is not an issue, it's a wonderful set. For us, it was a deal breaker.

We received two sets of these from our registry. They are gorgeous! They are very heavy duty and seem like they will last a very long time.
