Knives are RUSTING!
My husband and I purchased this silverware set after our wedding. We were told they were 18/10 stainless steel, however we've found that with the knives that is not the case. After just 2-3 months we noticed the knives are starting to rust on the edges. When inspecting them closer we noticed all the forks and spoons are stamped with 18/10, with the exception of the knives. No where on the knives does it say 18/10, but instead Vietnam 9-11 is imprinted on them. My husband then decided to "test" the silverware. If you have true 18/10 stainless silverware it should not be magnetic so he held a magnet to all the forks and spoons, nothing happened, but when he held a magnet to the knives, the magnet was attracted proving the knives are not 18/10. We are going to return the set and contact Oneida to complain.

LOVE this flatware!
After a solid month of searching for a good flatware set, I am more than pleased to have settled on the Oneida's Dorchester set. The spoons and forks are "normal" in size and shape, but the handles add a sleek modern touch. They also have a good weight to them - they pieces do not fall off your plate and you feel as if you really have control over your food (sorry, I've been using cheap stuff for the past 8+years). Wash well in the dishwasher, and it's also nice that the set comes with 12 place settings (and steak knives!). I'd recommend this set in a heartbeat! Oh wait, I just did...

Top Notch
Got tired of old flatware and did some research. Discovered that better flatware is composed of 18/10 stainless steel. Flatware comes out of dishwasher as shiny as when new. Nice solid manufature and substantial in the hand. Well worth the little cost over the cheaper stainless. Have had for over a year now and guests always comment on how nice set is. Remember, 18/10 stainless.

My only silverware!
I received this silverware as an engagement gift in July 2005. I registered only for this set and chose not to go the route of having 2 sets of flatware. They've stood the test of time through being used all of the time! I definitely recommend this set.
