This Product is Terrible!!!!!!!!!
This slicer is so bad, I don't know how it pased any kind of "quality test". The directions not very helpful (but in color), and the blade was so dull that I had to smash the handle several times with the heel of my hand to drive a tomatoe across the "Ultra-Sharp" blade (so the ad says) ... and at that, it tore the tomatoes and onions apart. This could have been better made, in my opinion, but then it would likely be priced at what the other manufacturers are selling their products for. It cost about $30 which is enough for me to buy burgers at a restaurant for me and several friends. For me, this device is useless and frustrating to use. No more, as it's currently in the trash.

The Little Slicer That Couldn't
I bought the Oneida slicer to make thick potato chips at home. At the store, the product looked good and was a reasonable price. However, no matter what I did to stabilize the blade, it couldn't make uniform slices. The thickness adjustment couldn't hold it's setting across the blade, so each slice was tapered. Not good for baking potato chips.
Reading the instructions provided no help on this issue, so I put the slicer where it belongs; in the outgoing garbage. After owning it for about two weeks, no less. DO NOT BUY THIS USELESS PRODUCT.

Don't bother purchasing... it is a Waste of Money!
I should have read the reviews before purchasing. This is truly a piece of junk. Blades were dull. Operating instructions very poor. Couldn't even slice a tomato.
I returned it the same day I purchased it at BBB.
As always the customer service was excellent.

You Got To Read The Directions
I've had mine for about 6 months. for those who like thin potatoes and onions etc, the slicing bed is adjustable to control the slice thickness. I sliced 10lbs of potatoes in a jiffy.
