OXO Good Grips® Meat Tenderizer
Had for years-No complaints!
Purchased several years ago and have had no problems. Other reviews have indicated it is not dishwasher safe. Since raw meat is involved, feel more at ease washing by hand and giving it extra attention.

This is not dishwasher safe, and the head is not very heavy. A good meat tenderizer has a really heavy head to make it easier to flatten things, and this hammer requires a lot more effort. The handle is comfortable, which is important if you have to grip it extra hard and spend more time processing the food than you would with a better quality hammer.

After washing ?
This is not dishwasher safe and even after re4gtular washing I am not keen on the look of it...

It has a little weight easy to pound chicken or even cookies. Worked great for wat I needed.

Heavy head and comfortable handle have made for some fun chicken pounding in our household. So easy to keep clean.

Better quality expected
We got this as a gift at our bridal shower. It was used once to flatten some chicken breasts then put in the sink to be washed after dinner. It sat in the sink for maybe an hour and it has spots all over it like something ate away at the metal. All that touched it was the chicken it was used on, dawn dish soap, water, a sponge and our hands. Don't know what went wrong there but this is going back to the store tomorrow!

This can be used to tenderize meat, make cracker crumbs or deter home intruders!

You really can't ask more from a meat tenderizer. I typically use the flat side to flatten chicken I've placed between two sheets of "cling wrap" or in a zip top bag.
