OXO Good Grips® Silicone Sink Strainer
You Need This!!!
I previously had some sink strainers from Lowe's that were good but I had to toss them because the screen would gunk up and look disgusting. I cheaped out and bought some from Walmart (big mistake) but they kept letting food and gunk slip underneath the rim and goo up the drain. I ditched them and purchased 2 of these for the sink. I really wanted to spend a little less but I'm so glad I went ahead and made the purchase. Easy to clean and disinfect and I don't see me needing to purchase anymore for a vey long time.

Bought this a few years ago when I first got married. Now we are living in a new house where we have a double sink now plus a food prep sink with disposal. I love it so much I am going to buy two more:)

Best sink strainer ever made...worth every penny.
Ok...so I deleted my garbage disposal because the food bits that went through it kept clogging the old rough interior pipes running horizontally in the wall from the kitchen sink and would be quite costly to have continuously cleaned or replaced so I replaced the disposal with a standard drain, goodbye disposal... but I felt the holes in the new drain's basket strainer were too large and too many large particles of food would go down the drain and cause the same clogging issue. I got this...I love it...holes are small enough to capture the dangerous food particles large enough to clog my pipes, but not so small as to prevent water from draining when the strainer fills with food particles so it works great. Cleaning it is a "snap" just flip it over a trash can, and press the round dimple on the bottom and "pop" the entire thing inverts inside out "flicking" all of the food particles off of itself magically...sometimes you might need to give it a tap or two on the trash can and melted cheese might get stuck but I haven't encountered that yet. Most of the time, not. It's flange top rim is true stainless steel and doesn't rust. The flange doesn't scratch the sink or catch crumbs as the entire bottom of the flange is also covered with silicone so it doesn't slide around in the sink easily or scratch the sink. This is perfect and honestly I don't think I'll ever have to call the plumber again to unclog my poor old horizontal in wall sink drain pipes again with this in use. Just wish they would maybe offer some "colors" of the silicone part to go with my kitchen accessories, like white, light grey, or red, to make it a bit more exciting for decorating, but this will certainly do. I chose this version over the other model with the stopper included as some people had issues with the stopper fitting the drain correctly. For that purpose, I will just swap back to the original strainer that came with the sink drain to stop the water since it fits perfectly and I rarely fill the sink with water anyway as I usually just mix up my soapy water in the largest pot or bowl that needs to be washed anyway "dishpan style" and clean that item last when I don't want the soapy water anymore. I'm taking the other reviewers suggestion I read and throwing it in the dishwasher occasionally. It won't melt...it's silicone! Definitely worth the money...will outlast more than 7 of the cheap dollar store strainers and is easier to clean and use so buy this...not the cheap ones. Some things are worth the extra cost for the quality....this is one of those things.

Best Sink Strainer I ever had
This is by far the best sink strainer on the market. The lip fits perfect to where the food goes into the strainer and not underneath like metal strainers do and it does not rust. It is easy to clean and I put mine in the dishwasher every now and then and it comes out like brand new. I have had mine for over a year now and have not had to replace them. Love them and recommend them to everyone who does dishes.

So easy to clean
Beyond any doubt, this strainer is the best we've ever had. It saves tons of time and frustration over screen strainers because cheese and stuck on food bits slip right off of the silicone. It is especially effective when you pull the handle and the basket turns inside out. I've given several of these as part of a gift for teachers, weddings, etc., and, even if they don't understand at first, they are so thankful after they've used it.

I bought this on a whim about 5 years ago. The baskets that came with my sink were fine but it was hard to clean between the stopper and the basket so I figured I'd give this a try even though I thought it was spendy for what it was. Actually worth it's weight in gold - catches all that stuff you don't want going down the sink, pops inside out to dump, fits the sink great. Should be standard for every sink!

don't bother with cheeper versions
i tried the $4 version (another brand) thinking i was saving $4 but then just had to throw it out... so in the end, i should have just bought this one first! it's great, fits perfect, don't bother with anything else
