Good enough for the kids
Bought 4 of these 24 inch stools for our kitchen peninsula, mostly so the kids would have a place to eat breakfast, do homework, etc. I occasionally sit on them, but not for long, because they really aren't that comfortable. The padding SEEMS thick, but compresses a LOT in the middle. All you're feeling is the outside edge of the stool seat against your thighs and backside, while the inside dips down with your weight. Doesn't bother the kids though. Sturdy enough - one was wobbly and we adjusted it with an extra felt pad on the bottom. Only real complaint is that one top of the buttons on the seat already popped off when one of the kids slid off the stool and their jeans' pocket caught the button. Had to just glue it back on to the base of the button. Clearly the quality isn't great, but for about $32 each (using BB&B 20% off coupons) I can't complain.

Love the stools! Easy to assemble and looks great under my marble counter.

Love it
This is a very nice stool and very sturdy. I liked it so well I sent one to my aunt who has trouble standing.
