Cheaply Made
The right side mirror fell loose from the frame soon after I purchased it, but I was too busy at the time to return it, so it has had duct tape holding the mirror together for four years now. The way it is made, I was unable to super glue it together which would have been less noticeable than duct tape.

Jerdon Classic JGL9W Lighted Tri-fold Mirror
This mirror works fairly well. It's the light bulbs that everyone seems to have a problem with. After a while, the fluorescent bulbs will not light up as fast. The light bulbs can not be replaced in this unit.
Those that have problems with the unit, it could be that something has shaken loose during shipping and handling.
For those that say that they've had this mirror before in the 1980's, REMINGTON made the exact same mirror and THAT is what you had. After the patent expired, Jerdon copied it and made this clone. The front outlet is handy but I wouldn't use it for anything powerful like a hairdryer. A curling iron, yes or any other low volt appliance.

Disappointed
I'm usually pretty good about reading reviews on these type of purchases but never crossed my mind about a makeup mirror. Mistake. I had a different type of makeup mirror (used individual nite lite type bulbs) for over 10 years....bulb burnout, I would replace....no problem. After 10 years thought it was time for something new. I purchased the Jerdon mirror. The irreplaceable flourecent bulbs stopped working after about 9 months. If my mirror was an isolated problem then would think maybe just a defect but after reading other reviews it is clear that it is manufactured with poor quality and no thought of the consumer. Will not purchase another Jerdon product..

I thought that the center mirror is a bit too small. Also feel that it would be nice if the 2 side mirrors would close with center mirror in either magnified position or non magnified position. Not crazy about the stand set up on the back side of the mirror either. Overall, it is a satisfactory product for the money.
