Reed & Barton® Colby 45-Piece Flatware Set
Very Large pieces
The flatware is very large. The teaspoon in this set was as big as a dinner or soup spoon from my old set. The salad fork in this set was the same size as a dinner fork from my old set. The dinner knife was a good one inch longer than that from my old set.
I loved the design and have trusted the Reed and Barton name, so I wanted to love these. But these honestly looked like flatware for giants.

Returned as several pieces were damaged. Came from Reed & Barton that way. Contacted them and their Customer Service did not seem to care. Will never buy their products again.

I have used this set for a little over one year, and I am extremely satisfied with it. I primarily wash it in the dishwasher, and it has held up very well. It probably looks virtually the same as when I purchased it. The quality is superb. All pieces have a nice weight in the hand and feel very solid. Knife is strong and not "bendy". Knife does well with meats for a regular knife, but naturally not as well as a steak knife. With forks, tines are strong and do not flex or bend. With all pieces, I do not notice small dings or dents at the edges of the "food end," as I have noted with some previous flatware, especially spoons. Regarding the style, I find it very pleasing. It is not the most trendy or contemporary, but I also do not find it to be "old-fashioned" in appearance; to me, it is an easy classic that I will be able to use for many years and that will go well with various place settings. I will say that I have used the serving pieces less frequently, but they seem to be of the same caliber as the everyday pieces. Overall, I highly recommend this excellent set of flatware of high quality at a very reasonable price.
