Shark® Lift-Away Pro Steam Pocket® Mop
Not recommended for wood floors
We've recently refinished our hardwood floors with a dark espresso stain and I was afraid to use any chemicals on the floor, so I bought this thinking it would be the perfect alternative to a spray and wash mop. Sadly, after trying it out a few different times in different rooms with various lighting conditions, this mop has only made my floors look dirtier. It leaves streaks everywhere, no matter which setting I used. After mopping with this, I had to go back over the floors on my hands and knees with some water and a microfiber pad and the pad still came back black. To be fair, it seemed to work well on tile, but since my house is 90% hardwood I will be returning it to the store.

Dirty floors beware: this shark bites!
Amazing cleaning with minimal effort! This is one husband who is glad his home worklist includes cleaning the hardwood flooring … and his wife has opted for the dusting and bathrooms.
Five stars for the Shark!

Broke after 5 months
I had the standard Shark for three years until it stopped working. I replaced it with this upgrade, thinking the lift-away small mop would be useful. First the lift away small mop was completely worthless. It was a silly gimmick gadget. Second, the entire mop stopped working after maybe 10 uses. I will not be buying a Shark again.

Broken after 18 months of use
I got this as a wedding gift in June of 2012 and it broke in January of 2014. No steam comes out of it what so ever and of course it has only a one year warranty. Even when it did work, I felt like it didn't have enough steam coming out of it.

My husband and I had an old Shark model (the handle detached from the heating unit which you had to drag behind you) and were ready to upgrade when we were given a GC to BB&B. We chose this one because we needed a garment steamer as well. We love it. It's light weight, it sanitizes, and with weekly use we have noticed less and less dust/dirt coming up on the pads, so it's definitely working. For all the people who are saying it doesn't clean or leaves "streaks" my advice is...be cleaner in general and/or check the water you are putting in/oils-polish on your floors. We don't wear shoes in our house but we do have two dogs and wood and tile floors. We have never had streaks, we've never had residue, we've never had an issue getting normal day to day soil off the floors. The water heats quickly so there isn't a lot of downtime waiting for it to heat, it's almost instant. We have just under 1400 square feet of tile/wood flooring that I use it on and it has turned a two hour cleaning project into less than an hour. We will definitely keep buying Shark products!

I been a long user of Shark steam equipment and had to replace a unit and this was what was in the store. I liked the all in one concept, however that's where it ends. Unlike the older models, three is no trigger or push system to get more steam you select 3 ranges of power, dust, mop and scrub. Of course, because it's a new model you can't use any of the hand cleaner attachments and the ones they give you are poor subsistutes. You can however, use the other heads and cloths. The cleaning sucks. There is no other way to describe it. The older models used to be able to get everything, EVERYTHING. With this one, I have to pre mop. I have to prescrub to get anything rough with the hand tool. The best success I've had with it as a mop is with the triangle head. I'm very dissapointed in this product. More over, BB&B doesn't sell anything for it in the store which is most annoying. This is going back. I would not recommend this unit and for the price there are far better options that I'm finding that hopefully will clean something.

I was really hoping this would do a good job on my wood laminate floors, well it didn't. It left my floors streaked. I decided to go over them again, I did this 3 times all together, didn't make the floor look any better. I have returned this to the store.

Mine broke during moving they did not know what they were moving. and broke it. I raised cain. Nonetheless, I would not, or have tried to mop other ways, I do not find it as clean. I love my steam mop. I have sold three just by being in the store and ppl talking to me, then my landlord said she was going to buy one. I would not trade steam clean for reg clean again.......I don't feel like things are as clean. When i got it. I thought again, lets see if they lie. I had just mopped the floor. When i flpped it over. I thought omgggggg and then my daughter came thru and slipped on the floor, I laughed. I had gotten it because my ill mom had just came home. and wanted things clean. Xtra clean for her. And they were even her closthes i would steam them to make sure all bacteria was out. SHARK IS AWESOME. Do not sell the mops short...
