SKIP*HOP® Bento Ultimate Diaper Bag
Excited to Use
While I haven't put this bag to the endurance test, I'm in love with it. It has lots of inside mesh, outside zip, and side/bottom insulated pockets. It's unisex, even in the gold color, so my husband likes it, and I can take off the long strap and can carry like a purse over one shoulder or still attach to a stroller. The food storage containers snap together for easy in/out, and while I'm not using them, I'm using the compartment for a blanket, swaddle, and burp cloth. I was afraid it would be too small, so I looked at it in-person and ultimately bought online. My pockets are full and there's still room in the center inside of the bag. I can't speak to how washable, durable, etc it is, but I'm sure I'll find out.

I disagree with the other reviewers regarding how roomy this bag is and the fact that it falls down. We've used it pretty heavily for 2+ years and I am very happy with it. One of the zippers broke, but it happened only recently, and it's on a side pocket that we don't really zip anyway. If the bag starts tipping over once I put it down, I would just lean it more towards the other side, or turn it over - that's it, problem solved. When we're at home, the bag rests on the floor, and it has never fallen over once.
Regarding how much stuff it can fit - my answer is "A LOT". I always want to be prepared for the unexpected, and have 8-10 size 4 diapers, wipes, changing pad, diaper disposal bags, several Plum Organics/ Gerber pouches, several snacks for my son, a bottle of water, a couple bottles of milk, a few small Silk milk cartons, Tylenol for myself, benadryl for my son, epi pen, nose tissues, a complete change of clothes for my son #warmer clothes/ thicker when it's cold#, a jacket for him, a spare shirt for me if needed, a cooler with the tupperwares, a wallet, a camera, and there's still a lot of room to spare. I've never had to carry a blanket except for when my son was a newborn and the blanket was smaller, so it fit just fine. We also travelled several times on the airplane, and I packed to be prepared for potential delays #i.e. packed a lot more diapers / wipes / snacks and a couple changes of clothes for my son, plus a shirt for me#, and everything fit just fine, especially considering that I also had a big makeup bag, wallet, and document pouch in the same bag as I did not bring a separate purse. We did have a carry-on suitcase and this bag, and it worked out great.
This bag is not cheaply-made, it's great quality materials, and very versatile and can be used by men and women, and not only as a dedicated diaper bag.

Does not fit enough
I thought this bag would be perfect with the food storage in the bottom, side pockets, and the multiple pockets on the inside. After I received it and actually attempted to pack items in it I realized that:
1) It does not stand up well by itself
2) It does not have a lot of room inside. I can fit maybe 10 diapers, 2 changes of clothing and a container of wipes.
I wanted to take this bag with me on a flight and couldn't cause there was no way I would be able to stash enough diapers, food, clothing, toys, formula, etc in it for the flight.

I thought it was a good investment. After a few weeks using it the zipper was broken. Not recommended at all.

For the price, my husband and I expected the bag to last. The zipper broke within a month, my sister has the same bag and also has a broken zipper. Would not recommend.

not worth spending
i was happy to get this bag as a present. For what its worth i thought this bag was going to be great.
Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of storage i must say. BUT so far all of my zippers are not working or broken (i only have been using it for 5mons), and when i place it down it keeps fallen on the side.
I wouldn't spend the money.

I have hunted and hunted for a diaper bag, plus been through a few. I have two children 4 and 2, now we are about to accept two foster children, infant and toddler. It was a lifesaver to get this bag.
A few of my favorite features:
-Insulated bottle/sippy pockets
-the utensils spot in the food spot-I'm always taking packed lunches or snacks to keep healthy and save money.
-the option of shoulder strap or cross body
- the pockets are perfect.
-stroller hook up too-previously tried to get by wo this, but it is so much better to have it!
Someone in a different review wrote that there wasn't room for everything. I dont know what they are carrying around bc this bag holds everything! I have multiple kid items and adult items and it is perfect.
My only critique would be to have a more feminine or patterned version. And a pocket with just a flap for quick cellphone grab.

Bought this bag because it seemed practical and it wasn't too girlie - which was important because I didn't want my hubby suffering through schlepping around some fluffy & ginormous diaper bag. Sadly this one is a slight nightmare - it doesn't stand up on it's own - with or without the stuff in the bottom compartment - we even tried stuffing the bag to it's max in desperation - nope, no luck, still falls over.
Also it's only really good for a trip of a few hours - and we like to go on excursions where we're gone for 1/2 the day (or more) We can fit a small blanket, one change of clothes (for baby only - no extra parent t-shirt) a few diapers and that's about it. We're only at 3 months, so everything is still on the very small end of the baby size scale. I chuckle a bit when I think of trying to make this bag work when our LO is 6 mo. : /.
And yet another sadly... good luck attempting to retrieve anything out of it :-(((. - it's like "so... do I hold on to the baby or shuffle through the bag" :-((( usually takes both of us to get stuff out of the bag - which is a wee bit inconvenient. If you forget to dig out what you need before changing your really in trouble. I know parenting pushes your limits, but really should your diaper bag????
We were really hoping the bag would work - we loved the idea of it. OH well, off to purchase yet another overpriced baby item that will only be used for a brief period!
