Really Like
I love the look and functionality of this trivet, but a word of caution...do NOT put it through the dishwasher as the brush nickel peels. That said - the voice of experience - I have just bought two more!

Does what it's supposed to
I have 2 of these trivets. They do exactly what they should in the kitchen. I don't think I would use them on nice furniture though, as they have no pad or anything but metal on them and may scratch the surface. They are attractive and probably should stay either in the kitchen or on a placemat if using to serve.

Iffy
Right now i can only recommend this trivet for the kitchen. It may be usable on good dining furniture and may not. does anyone have experience? The description calls it "a great addition to your kitchen." should it stay in the kitchen or can it be using in the dining room?
