Chemical Smell
This pillow has such a bad smell...even after weeks...that I no longer use it. Even my husband said he could smell it.

I did not have the opportunity to try this pillow. The smell was so bad, I could not put my head near it.

Better Sleep
I got this product several years ago and really liked it. Some say the pillow is no good and does not help them and complain about the smell. Well, I can tell you that I have been getting restful nights and the smell does not bother me. No matter what other people say, if I want to buy something and try it out, I will. I like to make up my mind about something myself and not let others do it for me.

feels so good, smells so bad
This pillow is exactly what my sore neck needed -- except for its odor. When my old side sleeper foam pillow wore out, I decided to "upgrade" to a temperature sensitive foam pillow.
I purchased this pillow over two months ago after reading many conflicting reviews about its initial odor and how long it would take to dissipate. The pillow released a very acrid odor when removed from its plastic wrapper. As suggested by other reviewers, I tried rolling, twisting, kneading, stepping on, and sitting on it to hasten the odor release. None of this worked.
After a week of not being able to sleep on the pillow due to its odor, my house was also full of its odor. Finally, I left the pillow in the basement to air out for a few weeks.
After a month of out gassing, the pillow's odor toned down enough for me to be able to sleep on it through the night. It still gives off a mild odor -- hopefully its non-toxic. I wouldn't recommend getting one of these pillows unless you have a ventilated space where it can air out a few weeks.
