This extra tall home decor gate features one-handed operation, and is ideal for blocking off bottoms of stairs, between rooms or for large entryways. The gate's door opens in both directions for ease of use, and audibly clicks closed. It features an ergonomic two-step trigger latch, plus it has rounded corners and closed tubing to eliminate pinch points. Measures 36" H x 28" W, and extends to 48" W. would prefer to return
We installed the gate and had difficulty opening it without the entire unit coming down. We tightened gate and it is still impossible to open. The bottom of the gate sticks even when lifting and opening. I am not sure if this is defective but it seems to be part of the design.

Terrific safety gate
I have two and I am very happy with them. The secure double latch is easy to use with one hand and the gate swings in both directions. The installation instructions are clearly written and easy to follow. Gate is easy to install and adjustable to many size openings. Excellent quality and attractive design. I highly recommend even though it is a bit more expensive than some others.
