Vornado® Tower Circulator Fan
Was a little hesitant since some reviews said these rattle however BB&B has a great return policy so we bought anyway. We now have two and they both seem fine. One was purchased online and the other in store. Lowest setting is a whisper, second noticeable but still rather quiet, third and fourth settings are pretty loud. I use the third setting sometimes as white noise for my 9 month old and it seems to help him nap while I do other things. On the down side it collects dust and the base is not weighted, which is really only a negative because our child likes to "examine" it up close and can easily push it over although it hasn't fallen...yet.

Vornado® Tower Circulator Fan
I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and its been working out very well. Air circulation works great. when on top speed, it dos make some noise but nothing that will bother you.

Love this fan!
I love this fan!!! The speeds are great and it really does move the air around the room without the noise of it osculating. I looked for a couple of weeks before deciding this was the one. Ordered online on Monday afternoon - it arrived at home before noon on Thursday! Enjoying it!

You have to replace it every 6 months.
My husband and I bought this and it worked well at first. The air isn't super strong but it's definitely better than one of the cheap fans you'd pick up at CVS or something. My husband insists that we have it on his side of the bed so he gets most of the air and like I said, it's not strong enough for me to get any on my side. Anyway, after about 6 months it started making the most annoying humming sound. It got worse and louder to the point that we couldn't stand it. We returned the fan directly to the company using the warranty (I don't believe we had bought it at BB&B) and we got a replacement. Now it has been 6 months and the replacement is doing the exact same thing. We will be returning it and asking for a refund. To us $100 is enough to spend to expect a quality product that will last for a few years. This one doesn't.

I currently have an older version of the largest tabletop fan Vornado makes, and have had it for at least five years. We use it everywhere in our house when we need to keep air circulating, at it does a fantastic job. I had just tried the Dyson fan in a friend's home and prefer the Vornado because it's much quieter and seems to move more air. This is why I decided to get the tower fan today to add to a guest room where a friend would be staying this evening. Notice I said TODAY. I purchased it five hours ago and assembled the base about an hour ago to set it up in the guest room. This is what happened:
Assembled the base and plugged the unit in to an outlet in the guest room to cool it off before our friend arrived.
Played around with the settings and remote to familiarize myself with them so I could write instructions in case our friend was not familiar with the unit.
Went downstairs to gather recycling and garbage to set out for the next morning. As I was coming back toward the house from the curb, I heard a very loud rattling from the guest room (the sliding door was open to the balcony). Went upstairs to the guest room to discover the rattling was coming from the Vornado unit. I had had it on for no more than 10 or 15 minutes straight from the box. As I entered the room, the rattling grew much louder and suddenly spewed fragments of plastic from inside all over the floor around it. The motor kept trying to turn and just sounded like something caught in a garbage disposal. I immediately unplugged it and took pictures of the strewn fragments. Once done, I picked up the unit to bring it downstairs to return in the morning and the entire motor assembly inside was loose and banging around when I moved it. Of course this was not the case when I brought the unit upstairs for use...everything seemed perfectly fine at that time.
I had read the reviews of the product prior to buying it, and remember one poor review with a similar issue. I decided to purchase because the majority of the reviews were positive. Again, our tabletop unit has had absolutely no issues since we've owned it, but I would definitely NOT recommend the tower unit. I am very disappointed and will be returning it in the morning.

This fan works great. It works as advertised and circulates the air in the entire room. I love that it's not excessively noisy when running on the highest setting. Also like that this fan has a setting for specific shutoff times. This setting will shut off the fan in 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours whatever is your preference.
This is a great product!

Looks cool but that's about it.
The fan doesn’t oscillate, so it’s hard to position it to where you can feel the air coming out of the vents. That was my biggest issue with the fan. It is much nosier on the III setting than the II setting which was strange, and I don’t mean a little nosier I mean much nosier, but I didn’t mind. What really annoyed me was that I had to get off the couch about 3 times to position the fan to feel the air was blowing in my direction. The twisted vents in the front look cool and that’s one of the features that drew me to the fan, but it’s such a big pain in the butt especially on a hot day.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy this fan especially at such a hefty price. Get an oscillating fan instead.

Does the job!
This "air circulator" performs as advertised and am happy with results. Somewhat noisy on high but it soon fades into background white noise. It is definitely sturdier than most tower fans I've had in the past. I very much enjoy the remote and that after I angle for the best air flow, I don't have to adjust again. I'm happy with this purchase and very happy I was also able to take advantage of Bed Bath & Beyond's 20% coupon.
