A Complete Winner!
I needed a butter dish and went to BBB and examined all the butter dishes they had in stock and tested for usage. Overall this one was a complete winner; it is easy to grasp, sturdy, fits a stick of butter (some did not), the cover fits snugly into the tray (while others rattled). When I brought it home, my husband thought it was crystal. The fact it is acrylic provides ease of mind as I don't have to worry about him breaking it. Overall it is an attractive and sturdy kitchen tool!

LOVE IT
I asked for this butter dish on my wedding registry, and did not pay attention to the description, it's acrylic, and I thought it was glass.
When I got the butter dish and opened it up, I realized my mistake, but did't care because of how pretty it looked. I also realized that unless you touch it, it looks like glass. It has fooled my husband, my mother, my aunt, and my grandmother, all of which though it was glass when looking at it.
The other thing I love about this are the ripples, it is not smooth like other butter dishes, which I have had before and broken because they are so smooth they slip out of your hand. The ripples on this give you great grip, and a plus, if you do drop it, it won't break, it's not glass, but just as pretty.
