Yankee Candle® Housewarmer® Spiced Pumpkin Large Classic Candle Jar
Can never go wrong
I've never purchased a Yankee Candle that didn't burn we'll or smell great. Spiced Pumpkin is one of their best!

Did I get a bad one?
This is the first Yankee Candle I've bought that has next to no smell. Very disappointed. I hope I can return it.

Best Fall season scent
As soon as I begin decorating for Halloween, I start burning my Spiced Pumpkin large jar candle. (The large jar candles are very economical.) At my house, the Spiced Pumpkin season lasts until about a week after Thanksgiving. This scent smells so wonderful and really puts me and my family in the mood for all the fall festivities. Its a classy scent that smells like home.

They've Changed the Recipe and composition - No longer as good!
As it started getting colder and a slight chill filled the air, I decided to light my favorite fall candle - A Yankee Candle Spiced Pumkin jar candle. Unfortunately, there was only about 1 inch remaining of the candle I had, but the good news is that there's a Bed, Bath and Beyond just a few blocks away and they're always well stocked with Yankee offerings! I lit the candle I'd purchased last year and burned it for a few hours each evening until it was low enough that it needed replacing, then went to purchase another. Imagine my surprise when I found that Yankee changed the recipe of my beloved Spiced Pumpkin candle completely! The candle I purchased before had wax that was uneven in appearance, shimmered and even had a "crust" that would form after I extinguished the candle (similar to their Sparkling Cinnamon candles). However, the Spiced Pumpkin candle I bought this week looks completely different; The wax in the jar is completely uniform, a reddish-brown color that looks almost like modeling clay. The scent, while similar when I first opened and smelled this candle, just isn't there when burning it. Luckily the candles at BB&B were 25% off and I had a 20% coupon so I didn't pay full price for this, but I'm still considering returning it. Oddly, some of the sampler and smaller sized Spiced Pumpkin candles seemed to be made of the former recipe, and made of the wax that shimmers and has some visible imperfections. Unfortunately the smaller ones never have the same amount of scent as the larger ones. Please, Yankee, PLEASE go back to the old Spiced Pumpkin candles that you manufactured in years' past...The ones that had a great scent and throw...Not the newer, updated, most likely cheaper to make but definitely not improved or better, version you're now stocking. I've posted a photo showing my older candle, and the new one I purchased. Noticeably different, have a look...

I have to say this my favorite all time Yankee candle. I love the sweet smell and how it is so perfect for fall, and also a candle to use all year round. As soon as I light this candle I know it is fall it really makes my home warm & cozy!
