This fully automatic vacuum sealing system offers a beautiful stainless steel finish and space-saving upright design. This vacuum sealer comes with great features such as a marinate function that infuses meat, fish, poultry and vegetables with flavor in minutes instead of hours or overnight. Seal button seals rolls for custom sized bags. Accessory button evacuates air from all FoodSaver® containers and canisters. 2-speed settings adjust vacuum speed based on food type. Gentle seal will prevent crushing of delicate foods. Moist/Dry food settings adjusts seal level for moist or dry food. Retractable accessory hose for use with all FoodSaver accessories. Extra wide sealing strip applies heat for a secure, air-tight seal.

Many Uses, not just food storage
Obviously ideal when purchasing foods in bulk from restaurant supply & warehouse clubs, and of course the marinade feature is a great time-saver as well. I often freeze cooked meals (ok, leftovers) for quick 'n easy re-heatable individual lunches... and I love that I can reliably store brown sugar without it EVER hardening! But this has other clever uses as well;
1) Keep matches dry when fishing or camping.
2) Vacuum seal important papers to prevent possible water damage or mildew should your pipes burst.
3) Keep first aid items, such as bandages and gauze, fresh, clean and ready to use.
4) Vacuum pack clothing, linens, stuffed animals for underbed storage, as well as basement/attics (keep the insects out!).
5) Vacuum seal and freeze water for instant ice packs. When the ice melts, you can re-freeze.
6) Store a prepaid phone to stay connected during unforeseen circumstances (hurricane preparedness, camping, fishing, etc.)
IF YOU ARE HESITANT, DON'T BE! This product is a must-have, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

Inferior Product
I've used the FoodSaver product for over 12 years. I replaced my old FoodSaver with this one and it stop working a month after I bought it. I can't take it back because I believed in this product so much I threw away the receipt and the box. I also bought the V3240 and it broke 20 min. after I plugged it in I returned it got another one and it broke immediately too. I guess something has changed since I bought my first one over 12 years ago. Buyer beware this used to be a great product but no more.

Great way to store food and other items for longevity. Food remains fresh longer and I can keep the moisture in as well. I'm lovin' it.
