Also wanted to note that we put them in the dishwasher all the time, and there is absolutely no problem with that.

really like this set
Great set. Highly recommended. I enjoy taking these plates and bowls down from the shelf and putting them on the table. They are so rugged and attractive. The spiral pattern is very appealing--and they are hand-crafted so that each one is a tiny bit different. Really like the color. Major enhancement of our table. The cost was amazing for the quality of this set. Only complaints: a couple of the spirals seemed irregular--and I am exchanging them--and the trace of the pattern inside the mugs is not my favorite. But overall, this was a wonderful purchase--and I will enjoy them for many years. Recommended for those who want a hand-crafted pottery look.

My great present to myself
I searched for the right dishes to go with a few expensive (and out of stock forever) Sundance place settings I wanted to use. I visited dozens of stores (every major chain from Wal-Mart to Target to Macy's to Pier 1 to Pottery Barn) and couldn't find anything rustic, charming, in a complementary color to my moss green, hand-shaped plates and bowls. I bought -- and returned -- five different patterns. Then I found these. I took a deep breath -- and ordered them -- doubting they could succeed where so many choices had failed. They are great. I love them. The color is perfect with what I already have. Food looks appetizing on them. They are weighty with a craftsy style that goes well with my Sundance. I can do tables for any season around these colors. They are somehow casual yet classy, color yet as classic as white. I recommend these dishes. One note. I am not going to put mine in a dishwaher or a microwave. I hand-wash and have Corelle to use to heat. I don't know if that makes a difference. They say they are microwave and dishwasher safe, but I wonder... Also -- you have to love casual and craftsy to love this choice.
