Joseph Joseph® Arena Self-Draining Dish Rack
Must get used to arrange dishes differently and proves to be very practical and space saving. Gives the sink area a whole new look.

Tough to fit dishes into
I know there are plenty of great reviews for this dish drainer - hence why I bought it. Honestly, it's the worst I've ever owned. I have no idea what kinds of plates other people use, but this won't hold any of mine. Actually, just look at it: where would you put a chef's knife without risking a slipping blade? I wouldn't buy this - stay conventional, you'll be happy you did.

Well built, looks good, barely functional
I don't usually bother with negative reviews, but this one was just such a failure in my eyes, I thought others might benefit from hearing the reasons I used this once and immediately decided to return it.
I'll give the good first:
-Looks nice, different from everything else out there
-Well made (4 star on the fabrication quality, 1 star on the balance between functionality and design)
And the bad:
-Unless you have an undermount sink, don't expect this to drain properly. Just the normal thin lip on my stainless sink was enough that I had to prop something under the back of it to get any water to drain
-Can't hold a soup bowl, can't hold a cereal bowl, can't hold a prep bowl (get the pattern here? There's a reason there's no bowls in the sample pic)
-Pots, pans....haha no, just no. Not even a light, cheap, shallow fry pan
-Vertical drain cutouts in the untensil holders are so wide they allow silverware to fall right out (this is why only 4 stars on fabrication quality...this was an obvious case of poor design just for the sake of making the product easier to mold)
If 90% of your dishes are flat and light, you wash up after every meal, have no more than 2 place settings at a time and have room for this dish rack AND a drying mat for anything not flat and small...this could be for you.
If not, I'd highly recommend against it

Best drainrack ever!
My husband I were both annoyed by our previous typical flat drainboards because they never drained and got nasty with residue. This one really works well. The water drains out fairly rapidly, and it holds more dishes than you would think and they stay put. There is a lot of room for silverware and utensils. The slightly smaller size is nice too because since the actual drain is small and centered, we don't have to line up the whole edge with the sink and thus can push it back to the wall, saving counter space. We got the gray, which is a dark shade and stands in well for the black we would normally have.

Wish it can hold more
One of the most ingenious dish racks I've used.
Wish it would be larger to hold more dishes.

Finally, a dish rack that holds dishes in place. They do not slide. This rack is compact and attractive.
