Gliding rod keeps the paper towel in place and tensioned against the front rim. Rubber coated front rim provides the extra friction needed for one-handed dispensing. Brushed nickel finish. cannot mount under the cabinet
when I purchase this item I was wishing to install it under the cabinet, and some reviews said it can... however, it cannot. it can only logically mount on the wall.

Does what it says
The problem we had with our old paper towel holder is that the draft of the wind would unroll the paper all the time (it's in our garage). Doesn't happen anymore with this holder, it's great! The weight of the paper towel roll presses against the edge and keeps it in place until you want to tear a piece, we love it!

Such a clever product
Love how easy and simple this functions; using the roll's own weight to always adjust to its size. Although depending how you tear it, the rubber edge sometimes gives a little too much friction.
