It uses induction heating and spinning to make the smallest bubbles that are best for hot milk drinks. Great if you know how to work it
I read other reviews that said 'after I pressed the start button it would beep 3 times and then turn itself off' I figured out that if you put cold milk in the carafe, and let it sit for more that 20 seconds, the external carafe begins to sweat. Solution is to wipe off any condensation before putting the carafe in the holder. I've never had a problem after i figured this out. Makes perfect froth and chocolate milk every time.

Perfect Milk Frother
Easy to use and clean. Makes great froth for my coffee. I use it every evening for cappuccinos. I purchased this over a month ago with no problems. Froth gets nice and hot. I would purchase again, we love this frother

Love this milk frother!
We bought this to complement our Verismo single cup coffee maker and could not be happier with it. It consistently steams and froths any kind of milk usually in the time it takes to pull a triple shot of espresso from our coffee maker. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this product. Some of the cheaper models had complaints about burnt milk and clogging (as well as units that just quit working) so I decided to spend the extra money on the stainless steel container which is a breeze to clean. We truly feel that the Verismo and the Breville Milk Cafe are two of the best purchases we've made in a long time (and I'm not just saying that because I'm hopped up on caffeine).

No problems! Works well and is easy to use.
We bought one last Christmas for our son. He loves it. He uses it very oftern and has no problems. We bought one for ourselves a couple of months ago- no problems. Love the way it works, very easy. Getting ready to order a 3rd one for my other son for Christmas.
** a note about the person who had trouble w/it shutting off "quickly". This happened to me too- then I read the directions. One push turns on the power, touch it again to start it... Very easy to use, but reading directions does help. :-)
