Brita® Grand Carafe Pitcher
Brita Pitcher is one of the best pitchers
I like the sleek rectangular design better than the round as it fits better in our refrigerator. The cap seals better on the pitcher causing it not to fall off during pouring.

My husband and I have saved so much money since we bought the Brita. This works great and you dont need to chage the filter that often. We have had for two months and havnt had to change the filter yet

Heavy lifting but does the job
This Brita replaces a slightly older model that I happened to drop on the floor because it is so darn heavy! The flip top lid is easier to operate than its predecessor and it pours better. Its shape fits better in my fridge than the round one I had. As for filtering water, I trust that it does a good job. Water tastes great and my plants love it.

timer doesn't work
I did everything it said to do with the filter, soaking it, washed everything, pressed and held the button for 5 seconds until the green lights flashes, etc, but the light never came on. It says there's a "good" level for the filter, I expected that spot to be lit since it's a new filter.

We upgraded our Brita container on our wedding registry, and it's been one of the best gifts! It came with a filter, and within a week it paid for itself in terms of bottled water vs. clean water. Love it!

you need a filter that filters, right??
i've been using Brita for quite awhile until I began doing a research on water filtration systems. and i realized that i've been really wasting money in hopes for good clean water with Brita. the best filter options are under-sink or counter-top ones. They cost much more, however, they actually filter out contaminations, metals, and pesticides, and give you pure water, and you replace the cartridge every 3 years. very cost-effective. Now, this is actually productive. AND there are also filters that get rid of that poison Fluoride! Brita is a waste of money and effort, you mean well but the company doesn't. Look on NSF and compare Brita pour-through to other filters. Brita would be at the very bottom of the list.
if you can't afford the "real filtration systems" which i've mentioned at the beginning, then upgrade to a faucet-mount filtration. again, look on NSF for KAZ (Pur manufacturer) and model number FM-9400B (the one sold in BBB), and look through the whole page. it shows certifications under different categories such as Aesthetics and Health Effects. Brita also has a faucet-mount filters, but i've compared it to Pur, and Pur removes much more contaminants, and they cost about the same. pour-through systems are a waste of money. they do not give you clean water, and I assume that's what you are after, since you are buying a filter. so, do your research. in our world, the way we live, clean water is everything, and it is hard to come by.

Always a Good Investment
Brita always makes a great product. I have been using it for a year. Only issue (or non-issue) is the screen on top telling when to change the filter doesn't work.

I absolutely love this. The purified water is delicious! The water is crystal clear and the pitcher works great. I actually drink more water because of it. Totally worth it!
