Fabulous glassware--dry completely in dishwasher!
I needed to replace my everyday glassware, so I picked these because they looked nice and were inexpensive. When I opened the box, I noticed they were slightly smaller than my previous glasses (15 oz. instead of 16 oz, so only a fraction of an inch shorter). They have a nice weight to them, and I agree with the earlier review that they are even more attractive in the picture. I didn't realize their greatest selling point, though, until I ran them through my dishwasher and realized that the cuts in the bottom allow the water to drain off so they dry completely. My old glassware always retained water on the bottoms even after they drying cycle so that I had to use a towel to dry them off, and this resulted in hard water/cloudy stains on the bottoms. The Essex glasses seem to be very sturdy and are holding up well to everyday use, but they still look nice for guests.

Best glasses
We have had these glasses for over 10 years now. We use them with our small children on a daily basis. With the holiday crowd getting bigger we needed to order more to add to our collection. Other glasses have come and gone, broke too easy looked too plane. These are perfect!

Pretty glasses, priced to use every day
Sturdy enough to use every day, yet still pretty enough to use with better china. They are more attractive than the picture, which shows them with a grey tinge - they are clear.
