Ubbi® Diaper Pail in White
We love the ubbi! It does a great job of keeping odor contained and the best part is that no special bags are required ... A standard "tall kitchen garbage bag" works just fine. Thumbs up!

One of my best baby purchases
This pail is FANTASTIC!! I had purchased the Diaper Genie and it turned out to be an expensive piece of junk. This pail is stainless steel, so it doesn't stink!!! We use Costco trash bags. Initially it seems like a major investment, but trust me, if you buy another pail and have to buy the coordinating bags with the pail...you're going to spend a lot more in the long run! We love this pail, it doesn't stink, and it looks very sleek:)

This diaper pail is by the far the worst diaper pail I've ever used. The design is poor, to say the least.
First of all, the pail itself is on the small side, but that was a feature I could deal with if that was its only problem... But it's not.
Ok, let's start with the worst part: The bag tears almost every time I pull a full bag out. The hinge protrudes out and there are sharp clips along the inside rim, so unless you push on the bag or slowly wiggle the bag loose, the bag tears and out spill all your nasty diapers. Oh what wonderfully frustrating mornings I've had with this piece of junk!
Also, the hole to insert the diapers into is small, so if you have a super-soaked diaper, you have to push it through the opening. Lord help you if you use cloth diapers.
And the pail is too light... My 15-month-old toddler picks it up and runs around with it. And she's close to figuring out the locking mechanism too, so it's just a matter of time before I walk into a landfill-smelling room because she's left the lid open.
So unless you like the smell of sewage or cussing out-loud in front your children, I'd strongly recommend you keep looking for another diaper pail. I know I am. :(

We've been using our Ubbi Diaper pail for 6 months now. It is so much better than the cheaper plastic pails. It keeps smells locked in and is very sturdy. I recommend it to everyone I know having a baby!

Surprisingly cheap construction
I am very disappointed in this diaper pail given the price. Within the first week of using it, the little plastic ring inside that holds the plastic bag in place snapped off its hinge. It turns out the whole thing is only held on by two tiny plastic clips. We jury-rigged it but then less than a week later the entire top section snapped off as well--the lid has a meal bar that fits through the hinges, but the hinges themselves are also cheap, thin plastic. Finally, it is nearly impossible to take a bag full of diapers out without ripping it because the rim around the top of the pail is made up of a ring of exposed metal edges. These are obvious design flaws, at least they're obvious now that I've taken the time to study the pail (which I wish I had done more thoroughly in the store instead of being impressed with the metal construction of the pail and the nifty colorful dot stickers).

I purchased this Diaper Pail for use when my Grandson visits. Daughter loved it and went home to purchase her own. Thinking about how GREAT it was for keeping out smells from the room, I "stole" it and I now use it for my Puppies waste. My garage now is scent-free!

Great pail for cloth and disposables
I'm on my third child and my third diaper pail. Ubbi has been my favorite of the three for a few reasons. It does a fantastic job of keeping a room odor free! Having to buy specific bags gets expensive and inconvienient, the ubbi using regular garbage bags for disposables is awesome. For cloth I use a washable bag, and it fits the pail great. It holds a reasonable amount. I love the choice of colors and one of my favorite things is that I could decorate it with removeable vinyl to match my sons room. There is a small learning curve to find the best way to "roll" your diapers (especially with cloth) to fit the opening neatly but once you get the hang of it there is no issue. To address the above comment regarding 2 hands to open- i always use only one hand but read a tip on their Facebook page regarding this concern- if you apply slight downward pressure on the handle when sliding open it goes much more smoothly. I believe a new label has been added to point this out. The ubbi pail does come at a premium price point but you get what you pay for and their customer service is top notch!
