Oneida® Surge 45-Piece Flatware Set
My husband and I love this silverware. It is a good weight and feels very nice in our hands. What is really nice is that the set comes with serving pieces so for parties you have matching pieces. They have gotten slight scratches/rubs in the dishwasher, but that's to be expected with how my husband loads it!

Rusting after 2 months
It has been a while since I bought flatware, so I decided to buy a set. I bought this set b/c I liked the look and the price point. What I didn't realize was that this set was 18/0. The zero means no nickle. This set slowly started to rust after a month. The rep informed me that making flatware 18/0 is now more more cost effective b/c Nickle is expensive. Nickle gives luster and rust resistance. My advice... spend a little more and get the 18/10 or 18/8 AND buy another brand. I was also informed not to use acid and no air drying - ridiculous!

I really love this set. We received two of them from our registry and we just love them. They are very durable and feel of great quality. I put them in the dishwasher and they still look great, no rust. They are larger in size so I use the smaller fork and spoon and my husband uses the larger ones.

It was time to get rid of years of accumulated flatware and get a nice set for every day use. I had some particular features in mind. It had to look good, although that is very subjective, it had to function well, and it had to feel good in the hand when used. This set fits all of my needs.
I wanted a wide blade on the knife to make scooping and spreading of butter, mayo, etc. easier. The blade on this is actually a bit wider than the slots in my dishwasher holder so they have to go in blade up or in a compartment with no separator. This is minor as long as they get cleaned properly.
Forks and spoons are nice size and comfortable in the hand as well as in the mouth when eating. They are hefy and feel like quality as soon as you pick them up.
All the pieces are highly polished and have a beautiful, flawless, finish. Quite impressive.
Given what accolades I give them, you may be wondering why I'm rating only four stars. I'm withholding one right now. They are made from 18/0 stainless steel as opposed to the 18/8 of higher priced sets. It will be some months before I can say how well they hold up in the dishwasher. So far, they are fine and I'm very happy with them. There has been much written about 18/0 but I've not seen the downside yet and hope I do not. They are a good value at the price.

The only silverware I will ever use
I received this set as a wedding gift. After using these I will never go back to the cheap silverware. They clean well, and look great! They are a little heavy, but that's better than being light and cheap. Definitely sturdy and worth the money...they will last forever! I highly recommend this flatware set
