I loved the look of this coffee maker, so much so that I purchased another one after returning the first one because the water would leak out slowly, thinking maybe I got a lemon. Approx. 4 months later the same thing happened so I returned it and stupidly bought another one, finally after this one did the same thing the first two did, I bought a Cuisinart. Hope I have better luck.

Worst Coffee Maker I Ever Bought
Both my mother and I bought this coffeemaker. They both died after 15 uses or so. She bought another coffee maker by Calphalon, which also died within several uses. Don't waste your money on this. If I had kept the receipt, I would have demanded a refund from the company.

TRICKY TO USE
Wanted a new Krupp to replace old one but it's not out there. The Caphalon is NOT EASY to use. I'm 5'2' tall and too short to pour the water into the reservoir from the karate, so I fill thee removable tank at the tap. But the tank is hard to slide in vertically from the top without spilling. Then, if the lid of the karate isn't perfectly aligned to slide in place and you don't notice it when you push the brew button, COFFEE EVERYWHERE!
On top of everything I the lid comes off for cleaning but I can't see well enough to replace it so someone else has to fix it or I can't make coffee.

Horrbile! Should have read ALL the reviews....
I thought I had done my research before purchasing this product... I found out just 73 days after that I hadnt. I woke up as usual and started thepot of coffee, about 15 minutes after pushing the start button i stated to hear a faint popping noise which quickly turned into very loud popping-it sounded like water boiling in my tea pot when its on high- I walked into the kitchen to find smoke pouring out of the top of the coffee pot and my coffee was BOILING in the carafe! the whole house smelled like electrical wires burning for the remainder of the day! I expected more from this coffee pot, with the price and the brand name being what they are. DO NOT purchase this coffee pot!
