Calphalon® Nylon Turner Tongs with Grip Anywhere Handles
Not that great
These were pretty cheap. Not good for picking up heavy things, also, pretty flimsy plastic.

I bought this because of the reputation Calphalon has, thinking it would be of good quality. I was very disappointed on the first use, they do not hold meats very well, a small pork chop kept slipping back into the pan, I had to use a spatula along with the tongs in order to turn them over. Washing them in a dishwasher works as long as you do not let anything touch them as they will become deformed from the heat and weight of whatever is against them. Pretty much the only thing I use them for now is to turn bacon, as that is the only thing they will really hold. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I had these tongs for over 4 years until recently when I realized I lost them while at our cabin. I think they were accidentally thrown away. Anyways I am going crazy without them and am going to ask for 2 pairs for Christmas this year. I love them and have never had a problem with them. I would definitely recommend.

Cheap and Only Work For Very Light Work
The first thing I tried to use these for was flank steak and I had to squeeze them with all my might just to move the steak to the cutting board. I have never had this problem with my OXO tongs, which I use daily. I will be returning these to exchange them for another pair of the oxo ones, which I can never seem to have enough of.

These tongs are a lot more flexible than I was expecting, making it hard to get under food to flip it. Made good, just not what I thought they would be.

Flimsy and falling apart
I bought this thinking that the Caphalon name would mean a decent product, however, upon the very first use, I realized I was wrong. Almost everything falls of of it while in mid-turn. Also, the hinge is falling apart. I have to use both hands to keep the tongs together without them slipping in two directions. I have had this for about 6 months and I always treat my kitchen gadgets very well, no mis-use, I keep them stored so that nothing is sitting on them to distort them. This is very poor quality. The only thing I like about this is the locking feature that keeps them from flinging open while being stored.

This is a lightweight tong with a good locking feature. I would definately buy again.

These tongs are too flimsy. When you pick something up, the middle part (where you squeeze) touches the other side. Aside from that, the locking mechanism works great. Just don't use them for anything heavier than a strip of bacon.
