It's reversible and designed for use on all floor surfaces including tile, hardwood, laminates, linoleum, concrete or rug-to-carpet applications. Use the fiber (scratch) side up on hard floor surfaces and the fiber (scratch) side down on carpet surfaces. It's also ideal to smooth out grout lines and furniture indentions.
