Could be better
Had this Hoover for less than a year. Good suction, flimsy attachments. Had some difficulty extending/retracting the telescopic wand from the get go. Now I can't extend it at all. Frustrating for a 6'4" person. Anyone else run into problems with the wand?

Its just ok.
I bought this vacuum last week (4/6) the hook inside of the telescopic wand has already broke off, no way now to keep the wand and hose handle connected, the powerhead doesn't swivel, it also doesn't seem to deep clean the carpet like others do. It does have great suction but wish I hadn't bought it. Looking for a different canister now.

Poor machine
I bought this expensive vacuum cleaner in July 2012 and after 6 months it stopped working. No fumes, no smell, just died. Contacted the Hoover customer care regarding this issue and they agreed to replace it with new unit. Hoping to get it replaced soon.

Lost Power at Hose Connector
I have been a Hoover owner for almost twenty years and just loved that with a little tlc, anyone can keep these vacuums running.
Just had this new vacuum replaced by the store from where it was purchased. It has been a GREAT vacuum but after ten months use, the powered nozzle stopped working and I traced it to the electrical plug where hose connector fits into the bag lid. From routine pulling around, some excess play has developed. I can only get power back to the nozzle if I hold the connector a certain way. This appears to be design related and could become a re-occuring problem. For this reason, I cannot recommend this product.
I suspect that it will happen again and only hope that Hoover will stand by and provide the necessary support.
