Good for 8 months
This bench was fine for eight months, when it started to fall apart. The slats started to pull apart, which could have been fixed, but the tightening screws rusted. When two of them completely rusted out, I panicked--afraid it would disintegrate while I was sitting on it--and bought a different bench.

Great idea poorly executed
Had it less than four months before it started falling apart. As another reviewer stated, the adhesive that holds the very short wooden pegs dissolved. Shortly later, all the metal bolts and threading rusted. I am only 130 lbs and relatively capable but this thing is a death trap. I wouldn't trust it to hold up someone aged or moderately disabled. I'm disappointed. The only thing about it, at the time, was it looked nicer than a standard "hospital style" shower seat. Now other options are available.

Bad Glue Job
II bought the bench about a year ago for use in our small shower, It was too big! Used it once in the shower and then put it in my walk-in closet for a bench when I put socks and shoes on. Some 10 months later, the wood seating slats on one side felt loose. I inspected the problem and found that the glue/adhesive had failed. One wood peg had broken into and most of the other pegs were loose. I spent several hours over two days re-gluing things together with Elmer’s Waterproof Wood Glue. (PS, I’m Certified Safety Professional.)

Just what I needed
this bench is the perfect size and height for use in a small shower. Use of teak is stylish and works well in a wet area. Use of tubular aluminum allows the leg height to be adjusted. A recent shoulder surgery limited me to 1-armed showering which was almost impossible to do standing upright. This bench has enabled me to take a shower safely and with ease. Thanks for a quality product at a great price.
