Makes pizza better! I looked at several pizza stones before deciding on the Oneida. What I liked was the large size, it was round (vs. square), came with a stand (that none of the other ones I looked at included) and the price was right. It's true what you've heard about cooking on a pizza stone. Pizza tastes better (it simulates cooking in a brick oven). Just put the stone in the oven while its preheating and pop your pizza on when it's ready. The metal stand keeps the stone off a table or counter, while the stone keeps your pizza warm. The instructions say to just use warm water to wash the stone, but I had to use baking soda to get stubborn food off. Also, the stone becomes stained over time, which doesn't affect cooking, and though is cosmetic is why I didn't give the Oneida stone 5 stars. Though I'd still recommend it. March 7, 2013

cracked I loved this stone. However, after less than a year it randomly cracked right in half. I should have returned, but we just tossed it and decided to buy a new one later as they are inexpensive. January 23, 2013

awesome dont listen to any of the reviews of people who can't read. you're supposed to let it heat in the oven and use a pizza peel - i mean how else do real pizzeria's put their pies in the oven? anyway i took off one star because i just broke mine due to a frozen pizza on it. the manufacture website didnt have anything about frozen pizzas but regardless, i still made a number of pizzas on the stone before i cracked it maybe it's not meant for frozen pizzas, which then means i'll need to get a stainless steel one...
