You pay for what you get!
I bought this heater after searching online for 2 weeks, and after reading many reviews I (thankfully) chose this one! I honestly did not think a heater this small would be able to do the job right, and stay as quiet as it does... WOW, was I pleasantly surprised! Not only is this thing outrageously quiet, but it also gets any room warm quick and keeps it at a great temperature. This heater is going to save me a ton during the winter...(im not a big fan of the cold!) ... :)

The best I have ever owned.
I had the TVH500 for about a year. It performed well enough but quit working. After just one phone call to the service department, I was offered two choices. I could get the same model or switch to the iControl. I read the product descriptions and was impressed by the continuous action of the iControl. My only question was regarding the cool touch feature of the TVH500. I was assured that all of the heaters were cool touch. Since receiving the new iContol, I have been very impressed with it's ability to heat the space and keep it at a comfortable level. Whereas other brands allow large variations in temperature. failed with less than 1 year use.
My rating is based on the fact that the heater lasted less than one year of easy use. It was quite enough and looked like it was a quality product but just did not last nearly as long as it should have for the price we paid for it. Disappointing.

Useful but some frustrations
I like the thermostat, low heat option, very quiet operation.
But some frustrations:
- no place on unit to stash the remote, so when storing it, one must tape it on or wonder where it went last Spring. The remote fell apart when in storage but we found the battery and back cover on the floor of the closet later.
- Others have given up in frustration at figuring out the controls. Remote needs a "low heat" button etc that just turns the darned thing on. The idea do scrolling thru the "modes" is not obvious to most, I'm sorry to say.
- on some surfaces (including low-pile kitchen rug) it thinks it is tilted and won't work, though you can operate the controls. After trying all options, you may then try it on a hard floor and discover that it works fine. Too sensitive and needs "tilt!" indicator
- one elderly user said " it was just blowing out cold air, so I unplugged it as I couldn't figure out how to turn it off."
(I had left it on low heat set at 60 which was her desired sleeping temperature - when the room was warmer)
Then she was cold at night.
I think it needs to be user-tested with no instructions given and tweaked until anyone can operate it. Few, it seems, have any interest in reading instructions or figuring it out. Not instantly obvious? Then useless.
- Can't see the panel without crawling on the floor. Should be tilted up.
- when you unplug, it resets to fan only and 75 degrees. Ideally, it would remember.
Personally, I love it, but I seem to be alone in this house in that opinion.
It keeps a room at a stable temperature without all the heat up by the ceiling like ordinary heaters.
