Love the CBTL!
Why is this brand not more well known? It is FABULOUS. Rich hot brews. Bought this to replace a more well-known brand machine which soon went haywire and made poor coffee. I also wanted to try the espresso option, which is a gem. Coffee, tea, and espresso made by The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is better than the other brands, Also all Caffitaly capsules made in Europe or elsewhere will fit in these CBTL machines. Love it!

Dead in Seven Months
Loved the machine for the first six months. By seven months it was dead. I cleaned it religiously. I followed all instructions and recommendations. Once or twice about six months in it behaved oddly. I thought perhaps it was simply that a capsule was defective or that I hadn't loaded it quite properly. Then one morning a couple weeks later it just wouldn't start. Nothing. No sounds. The capsule wouldn't load. It was just plain dead.
Unfortunately I can't find the receipt. I always staple receipts to the manual, but I forgot so no recourse for getting a repair, a refund, or a replacement. I now have an extremely expensive door stop.
Other negatives for the CBTL are cost of the capsules and lack of variety.
There were many positives, but nothing is positive enough to makeup for $150 down the drain in less than seven months.

Great coffee, great deal
Needed to find a new machine after my k-machine broke and was pretty sure I wanted something new. Wanted quality coffee (I was a barista at one point in my life) and low costs. Everywhere I went this machine got rave reviews! BBB had a fabulous deal with a $50 rebate AND 5 free boxes of coffee/tea/flavors. That's a deal NO ONE should pass up! Plan to get 20% off coffee/tea/flavor packets through the BBB coupons and buying discounted gift cards at Costco, then purchasing at CBTL stores or online (think you get additional savings there, too). Cost per pod will be less than what I was paying for the k-machine! Overall, this is an excellent machine and produces quality coffee and espresso (something my k-machine could not do!). Like every electronic device, there are a few quirks to consider...The handle seems to be flimsier than expected, but I've been gentle and I think it will be fine. Collection cup needs to be emptied as it collects water if you forget to every empty it like I did. Oops! Water tank could be larger, but hasn't been a hassle for someone like me who drinks 1-2 cups per day. The tank is behind the machine, but again, hasn't been an issue for me. The machine is louder than the k-machine, but that's because it's pressurized. Roommate's bedroom is above the kitchen and he said he doesn't hear it, so it isn't that big of a deal. I would recommend this machine over the other machines without a doubt. Enjoy!

Replaced our Keurig
I started drinking espresso recently and looked for an espresso machine to go along our Keurig that my wife uses. Ended up getting this one and now the keurig is collecting dust. Coffee is great and seems that everyone else thinks so too as I have been to both the local Target and BB&B for espresso cups and there was only one box left.
